Chapter 6

I loved writing this!! At the same time it was hard to write. I probably worded it all wrong if I did then sorryyyyy!!!

Chapter 6 ~ The big bang

Dicks POV

I sat beside Barbara's bedside.

She looked so defenceless. It was all my fault.

I should have let her help! No I should have convinced Batman not to let her go.

I shouldn't have left her on the roof alone.

I am the worst boyfriend ever!!

I started to cry. Artemis walked into the room. It was strictly two/three at a time no more.

She sat at the other side of the bed.

"Hey got you a coffee" Artemis handed me a coffee

I took it from her. I smiled "thanks"

I held Babs hand with my free hand.

Artemis looked over at me.

"She will be ok you know"

Their was a tube helping her breathe and she had a bandage going the whole way around the top of her head.

She had a small purple patch under her eye and a bandage on her arm.

She lay their looking dead.

I felt like just crying ((like full on))

A tear flew down Artemis's face.

Then i let go. Tears rushed down my face.

Artemis looked up at me. I expected her to judge but she didn't I wish she had. I felt weak. I wish I could swap with Barbara.

A couple of hours later

Artemis was asleep in the arm rest chair. I was across from her.

I felt like sleeping but I wanted to stay awake.

Jason came in then making both me and Artemis jump.

"What happened I got your text"

"The building exploded" Artemis started

"What! Is she ok?"

"She's weak" I said hanging my head in shame.

Barbara's hand moved little.

"Did you see that!" I said jumping up out of my seat.

"What?" Artemis asked

"I saw nothing" Jason added.

"She moved" I told them. Then Barbara moved again, this time both Jason and Artemis saw.

"I saw that time" they both yelled jumping up and running to her

Barbara opened one eye.

"Babs" I say as a tear rolls down my face.

She looked up at us as both her eyes flutter fully open.

Artemis ran and called a nurse.

They come in and ask everyone to leave.

Selina's POV

I sat alone on the roof of a huge sky scraper the biggest in all of Gotham.

I was alone. And I was bored which is never good.

I jumped as I heard a sound from behind me.

"Selina"

A voice came I recognized it. It was Bruce.

I turned to face him. He was in costume and had a serious face as always.

"Purrr---hello"

"Selina I'm not here for games"

I get up and kiss him softly but he pushes me off.

"I think I'm going to resign"

"What! Your not that old!"

"Its not because I'm old! Its because I'm not good enough for the city"

"Some things you can't do alone everyone knows that but you have help theirs loads of people want to help you"

"Gotham needs someone stronger braver"

"Bruce--"

"No more I've made my decision"

"But--! You heard me some things you really can't do alone"

I kiss him. He kissed me back but then pushes me off.

"Some things you have too"

"Will I see you again?" I ask stupidly

"Probably not"

"If you ever need anything call me"

"---I won't"

"I know I just wanted to say it" I look down as Bruce fly's off into the dark night.

I stand their alone---- again.
