Chapter 10 ~ big mistakes and new friends

Barbara's pov

Bruce had asked me to show and help Zatanna.

I walk down the stairs. My arm still sore.

Dick ran down the stairs pushing every thing out of his way.

He stopped when he reached me. Kissing my forehead and then he started running again.

Everyone seemed to be in a rush today.

A few minutes later Tim charged down the stairs.

I finally reached the bottom of the stairs without getting trampled.

Zatanna was in the kitchen standing nervously.

I walked over to her.

"Hey! I'm barbara"

"Hi I'm Zatanna" she puts her hand up like she is going to wave.

I walk into the kitchen and open the fridge taking out a bottle of coke and close it by pushing it with my shoulder.

"Follow me" I smile

She smiled back and followed me into the lounge. Everyone was sitting there watching TV.

I couldn't get a clear view of what they were all watching so ignores them.

"So this is the lounge"

She nodded and looked around.

I kept walking into the many bedrooms, bathrooms, rest rooms, halls, ball rooms, dance rooms, party rooms, disco rooms, relax rooms (( for massages))

She smiled.

"This might be hard to remember but thank you"

"Your welcome" I smiled and walked off.

She was left alone on the top floor.

I entered the lounge.

"What you watching?" I ask sitting down onto Dicks lap.

He doesn't move his eyes form the TV but wraps one arm around me.

"The game" he smirks.

I look up at the TV. I frown.

"Ok...have fun" I kiss his forehead and leave the room.

I really don't like football.

Zatannas POV

I make my way down every step. Ok I admit it I'm lost.

I open a door.

"Nope that's the wrong hall"

I hear a scream of joy from below me. I take the nearest stairs and find myself at the front door right beside the lounge which I enter.

I watch them all jump from their seats as one of them get a goal.

It makes me laugh. Everyone turns their heads and look at me. I feel my cheeks turn red from embarrassment.

"Sorry" I say.

They all laugh "for what?"

I feel my face go more red than it already is.

"N-Nothing" I stutter.

"Um---Ok" Tim smiles.

I smile back.

Three weeks here....seriously?

Later that day

I walk outside into the garden its silent and nobody can see you here not from the house. That's a fact I've checked.

I put my hand out as I passed a cherry blossom tree all the pink petals slid onto my hand and then off into he air. As free as the wind.

I smiled this was such a peaceful garden.

"--Zatanna?"

I jump. I turn around nervously.

"Umm--Hello?"

"Its Tim"

Tim appears pushing some willow trees out of the air.

"Sorry-- I can go" I point back at wayne manor.

"No no don't I don't mind"

Tim smiles.

"You know" he starts" the willow trees listen to you and keep your secret but when the wind blows strong it blows the secrets out of the willow and the wind speaks the secrets"

I smile. He seemed so Inspired by what he was saying.

"Steph told me that"

"Steph?" I ask.

"My girlfriend she's away at the moment"

"Oh--" I say. Feeling a sense of awkwardness.

" I miss her sometimes" he says" ok I miss her all the time, every second, every minute"

As Tim rambled on I stared at him. I looked at his brown eyes. He was too dreamy for comfort. I stepped closer to him.

"You don't have to feel alone anymore" I whisper leaning in to kiss him.

"Woah-- wait-- stop!" He pushes me away from him.

I blush bright and burst into tears running for the door.

How could I be so stupid??
