Chapter 6: Ms. Cosmo’s Dream
“Wonderful, Fabulous, Excellent!” screamed the crowds. The opening scene (which now seemed to be in a play, instead of a movie) was such a smash that people were heaving bottles and seats onto the stage.
“Act I” screamed the producer.
With that, the lights grew dimmer, and the setting was as follows (recited by everyone in the theater):
“Two bookcases
One Post
Some Hors d'oeuvres and a host
Some wine, cheese and a mint or two.
I think some plates
A touch of blue.
Some music and a tinge of musk,
We’ll party from dawn to dusk.”
The chorus then made obscene noises, as the curtain rose. Then the orchestra began to play. Ms. Cosmo jumped up to the microphone and began to sing:
“Ooh Baby,
Take me in your dog house
Cram me full of pig food
Eat a box of cheese
Gorp Gorp Gorp Gorp...”
With that, she broke down again. The crowd went wild and began to repeat after her, “Gorp Gorp Gorp Gorp”
