Chapter 5: Breakdown
After spending the night at the Salvation House for the Destitute, Ms. Cosmo went to the film studios where “Garbage of Love” was to be filmed. She was directed to a room full of strange looking people.
She looked around and decided everyone was a real gnome. “I want to go crazy!” she raved, “it’s only a hop, skip and a push away. Remember it’s not your bag of tricks, it’s what you pull out of it. With that comment you can kiss my ass goodbye. Monies, people, tension, I can’t take it anymore. I’m going to have a mental breakdown, but before I do, I must eat my 500 mg of Vitamin E.”
The Vitamin E was just the thing to drive her over the brink. She began screaming and throwing herself against the floor, over and over.
The woman movie producer from the store came in and immediately signaled the camera men to film Ms. Cosmo’s breakdown.
After throwing herself against the floor over and over, Ms. Cosmo felt she hadn’t done enough, and so began to run after the gnomes and trip them. They became angry and began to beat her up.
“Excellent!” said the woman producer as they all lay on the floor in a mass of bruises, “This will be a great opening scene for the movie!”
Ms. Cosmo slipped into unconsciousness, and began to dream.
