Chapter 13: Spurred On
Ms. Cosmo jumped up and said, “Ooh wee, Tex, you won’t lose me. Anything but that, Tex, anything!”
So Tex said, “Okay, let’s play Doctor. You be the doctor and I’ll be the patient, but I want you to wear spurs.”
So Ms. Cosmo ran into another room thinking to herself, “This sucker is crazy!” and got her spurs, which she’d someone forgotten that she’d always had.
Meanwhile, outside was Dark Dan, who had been in love with Ms. Cosmo since he’d first laid his wolf eyes on her, when she’d first come to the ranch.
