(6) Teamwork

Nikashi's POV

Maaga akong gumising ngayong araw, hindi pa nga nagising si Naruto pag-alis ko kanina. Ngayon na kasi ang araw na malalaman namin 'yung kanya-kanyang team. I went to the Hokage earlier, asking permission if pwede ba kami magteammate ni Naruto. I reasoned out para mabantayan ko ng maigi si Naruto. Surprisingly, I was placed on the same team as him before I even asked. Tinanong ko kung bakit sabi niya lowest daw si Naruto while Sasuke and I tied at the top.

Uminit na naman mukha ko nang maalala ko ang gabing yun. Shet na bibe.

Now that's out of the way, papauwi ako sa flat ni Naruto. I'm running with my top speed I might add. Why? Pipigilan kong inumin niya ang expired na gatas sa ref. Magiging bestfriend niya ang banyo kapag ininum niya yun. I need to get there fast.

Once I was in front of his door, I kicked it open, only to find him almost drinking the milk. I ran towards him at inagaw ko ang gatas mula sa kanya.

"Wha--?! Hey!" reklamo niya once nakuha ko mula sa kanya ang gatas.

I sighed in relief. Buti naabutan ko pa.

I gained an anime vein. "Naruto 'wag mo nang inumin 'tong gatas, expired na 'to oh!" Pinakita ko ang date of expiry ng gatas. He squinted his eyes at it, sure enough nakita niya na matagal na tong expired.

He chuckled sheepishly. "Oo nga noh? Kung nainum ko 'to malamang buong araw akong nasa banyo." Sabi niya habang kinakamot ang batok niya.

"Yeah, that's for sure. Buti naabutan pa kita, kundi naku! Ewan ko nalang! Sige na magmadali ka na diyan at pupunta na tayo sa academy." I said habang papunta ako sa trashcan para itapon ang gatas. Bakit hindi niya napansin na expired na to? Nangangamoy na nga oh!

"Hai!" he playfully saluted me before digging into his breakfast.

I chuckled. Masaya ako dahil naalagaan ko na siya ngayon. I think hindi ko na gusto huminto.

Nung nakarating na kami ng school, he excitedly went inside the classroom and sat down to his usual sit. Susunod na sana ako sa kanya nung nakita ko kung sino ang katabi niya.

May mga pasa ang mukha niya. I really did land a few hits on him. Nung nag-abot ang mata namin ni Sasuke, pumula ang mukha niya but he gave me a glare. Naramdaman kong uminit din ang mukha ko kaya inirapan ko nalang siya and I walked to the other direction.

I roamed my eyes around the room, konti pa lang ang mga tao dito. Only me, Naruto, Shikamaru, Sasuke at 2 classmates namin na hindi main cast. I sighed and I walked towards Shikamaru, who has become my friend during my week of stay here. So far, siya pa yung pinakaclose dito other than Naruto.

"Dumating ka dito ng maaga just to sleep?" I amusingly said while sitting down on his desk.

Umupo siya ng maayos while yawning. "You know how mothers get. Ang aga-aga nagfiflip top na. Minabuti kong pumasok nalang so I could sleep and then you came along. I guess change of plans." He lazily said.

"Aww. And here I thought we had something special!" I said in a fake hurt tone while clutching my heart dramatically.

He smirked at me amusingly. "You're so dramatic." Then his eyes caught something behind me. "I wonder why the almighty Uchiha is currently drilling holes behind your head." Sabi niya while raising one of his eyebrows.

Lumingun ako sa likod ko and sure enough Sasuke is glaring at me na parang pinatay ko ang pusa niya. I sighed then I looked at Shikamaru. "I think kasalanan ko." I muttered.

"Bakit naman?" tanong ni Shikamaru.

"Kita mo yung mga pasa niya?" tanong ko sa kanya.

He discreetly looked at Sasuke then his mouth formed O before he smirked. "Ikaw ang gumawa nun sa kanya?" I nodded in response. "Now that's one of the reasons why you're the least troublesome girl here." He lazily told me with amusement in his tone.
