(46) Brainwashed

Naruto's POV

May kapangyarihang taglay ang litrato na ibalik ka sa mga ala-alang gusto mo balikan. It somehow brings you hope when you don't have any. Minsan nga pinangarap ko na kaya akong ibalik ng litrato sa mismong araw kung kalian nangyari ang ala-ala.

Pero alam kong imposible yun mangyari.

Nararamdaman ko ang kirot ng aking puso habang tinitignan ko ang litrato sa aking kamay. A frown graced my lips as I looked at the torn-out photo in my hand. May maliliit na punit ito sa gilid dahil palagi ko tong dinadala kung saan ako pumunta, silbing inspirasyon na isang araw maibabalik ko si Nikashi. I didn't know that she is my sister but I felt that certain strong connection with her.

A huge part of me didn't believe that she really went bad despite of what everyone says. And I was right all along.

I run a finger softly on the torn-out photo in my hand. The photo shows two kids in their pre-teens practically glowing with happiness. I closed my eyes as I remembered the day that this photo was taken perfectly.

*flashback*

Nararamdaman ko ang sakit ng aking tiyan habang hindi ko maitigil ang pagtawa. I clutched my stomach as I laughed at Sasuke's irked expression as he chased Nikashi around with a huge anime vein on his forehead.

"Patay ka sakin kung mahabol kita!" Sasuke barked as he chased a cackling Nikashi. The latter jumped up on the tree branch and stuck her tongue out at Sasuke. "Bumaba ka dito!" Sasuke demanded with a huge anime vein on his forehead.

"Ano ka ba Sasuke? Ayaw mo nun? Ang epic nga ng naging team picture natin dahil sa smile mo." She snickered before she gave me a wink. "Di ba Naruto?"

Tumawa ako bago ko siya binigyan ng thumbs up. "You bet! Nakakasilaw ang ngiti niya!" I agreed before the both of us burst out laughing.

My laughter was outlived when I felt a punch on my head. Sinapo ko ang ulo ko habang nag-aanime cry. "Iniencourage mo pa ang ginawa niya kay Sasuke-kun!" Sakura barked with a huge anime vein that almost covered her forehead.

Sasuke looked at the laughing redhead on the tree branch with a frown pero unti-unti itong napapalitan ng signature smirk niya as if alam na niya kung paano niya patatahimikin si Nikashi. "It would be a shame kung malaman nila kung ano ang nangyari nung isang madaling araw." Sasuke said with a confident smirk.

Nikashi stopped laughing instantly nung narinig niya yun. She narrowed her eyes at Sasuke. "You wouldn't dare."

I looked curiously at the both of them as they stared at each other with opposite expressions. "Ano bang nangyari nung isang araw?" I obnoxiously asked.

Sakura raised one of her eyebrows in curiousity. "Curious din ako." She piped in.

Sasuke's smirk got wider as he looked challengingly at Nikashi. "Hn. Hinal---"

Nikashi's war cry cut Sasuke's sentence off as she jumped down to punch Sasuke's face.

For a split second, Sasuke's eyes widened before he backflipped para iwasan ang suntok ni Nikashi.

"Mas malala pa to kesa sa pag-aalaga ng anak." I heard the photographer said behind me.

Kakashi-sensei sighed exasperatingly. "You have no idea."
