Naruto's POV
Napagkasunduan namin ni Sakura na buksan ang scrolls. I glanced at Nikashi on my lap just to check that she is still asleep. I don't want her to look at me in disappointment once she realizes that I cheated the chunin exams. This is for her sake anyways, so I might as well do it.
I'm not gonna lie, kinakabahan talaga ako sa pagbukas nito. Kabilin-bilinan ng proctor na wag na wag daw bubuksan pero bahala na. Kailangan naming makapasa.
I gulped before I pinched the edge of the scroll. My hands went a bit shaky as I thought about what might be in this scroll. It must be something serious, right? Considering the proctor strictly prohibited us in peeking inside the contents of this scroll.
Determination waved through me as I solidified my resolve. Yoshi! I'll do this!
I was about to pull the scroll to open it when a hand suddenly stopped me. Sakura and I looked up only to see Kabuto looking down at us with a serious expression. "I wouldn't do that if I were you."
Highly startled, Sakura and I shrieked loudly in surprise.
Due to the sudden noise, Nikashi suddenly sprung up into action. Her brain being on high alert after abruptly waking up, she pinned Kabuto down to the ground. "How dare you?!" She growled.
"I-It's not what it looks like!" Kabuto choked out as she pressed her right forearm on his throat.
"Bullshit!" She snarled.
"Nikashi!" Sakura called out in protest.
Forgetting what I was supposed to do, I dropped the scroll on the ground and pried Nikashi off Kabuto. "Hindi niya kami sinaktan, nee-chan! He was just trying to help!" I told her while stopping her from attacking Kabuto. The gray haired man was coughing as he rubbed the spot where Nikashi put pressure on.
As if snapping out from her aggressive mode, she turned to look at me in confusion before returning her attention back to Kabuto. "Huh?"
Saktong dumating si Sasuke at tumakbo papunta sa'min. "Anong nangyari?!" He stopped in front of Nikashi as if shielding her from Kabuto. He glared at the gray haired man.
"Before I was assaulted by Miss Namikaze right here, I was stopping your teammates from opening the scroll. You're welcome." Kabuto bitterly answered, referring to Sakura and I.
Sasuke and Nikashi turned to look at us. The disappointment on their faces is immeasurable. I looked down and stared at the grass as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. I'm pretty sure Sakura looked almost as guilty as I am.
"What? Natulog lang ako tapos yun na ginawa niyo?" Nikashi asked in disbelief.
"I'm very disappointed with you guys." Sasuke crossed his arms in front of his chest as he frowned at us.
I slightly kicked the blades of grass as I puffed my cheeks. I am ashamed. Yeah, I can tolerate Sasuke being disappointed with me but it's a different story if Nikashi was the one who's disapppointed in me. Ang bigat sa pakiramdam.
"We don't even know what those scrolls do if we open them before we reach the tower. What if you got hurt?" She said in a scolding tone.
Unable to take my sister's disappointed stare with me, I zoomed towards her and took her in my arms. "I'm so sorry, nee-chan. I just wanted us to pass." I sincerely told her while burying my face on her neck.
She sighed. "But cheating isn't the way, nii-chan."
"I know. I'm so sorry. I won't do it again." Ayokong magalit siya sakin.

FanfictionWeird. That's how Nikashi viewed herself. In a place full of normal looking individuals, she was the odd one out. She always thought her bright red hair is too red to be considered as something normal. She doesn't know someone either who was born wi...
