(12) Duckbutt's birthday

Nikashi's POV

I yawned before I opened my eyes. My still groggy eyes stared at the chipped white ceiling above me before flicking it to my side. Naruto was still sound asleep on the bed beside me. 

We decided to just share the bed to save either one of us from feeling uncomfortable for sleeping on the floor. Wala namang malisya samin. We are real siblings after all. Or in his case, he considers us as one. With the money we both made from the previous missions, we managed to save up to buy ourselves a double bed because his former single bed won't fit the both of us.

It's been a day simula noong preliminaries and today we will meet our trainers for the whole month. Ebisu was appointed by Kakashi to train Naruto while he trains Sasuke. But I wouldn't worry about it, I know Jiraiya would swoop in and train my brother.

I, on the other hand, don't know who will train me for the next month. All Kakashi-sensei told me is to go to the Hokage today to know who would train me. Whoever it is, I'll make sure I'll learn something new from them.

I'm up against Dosu in the final round. I am genuinely curious whether or not he'll challenge Gaara a night before the final round. My presence may have affected things so I will prepare for the unexpected.

"Good morning nii-chan!" I yawned while I stretched my arms. When I heard a satisfying pop, I sat up.

Naruto groaned. "Good morning rin nee-chan." He mumbled in reply before he fell asleep again.

I giggled before I got up and decided to make some healthy breakfast for the both of us. I'm sure we'll both overexert our bodies with training later so we need to start off our day with a healthy meal.

Gumawa ako ng pancakes and at the same time gumawa rin ako ng vegetable salad and served some fruits on the table. I rested both of my hands on my hips and stared at the foods I served on the table proudly. "This should be enough, right mama?" I asked my mother in the afterlife knowing full well that she's watching me right now. 

I nodded approvingly before I took off my apron and returned to Naruto and I's room to wake my brother up.

Nilapitan ko siya. "Gumising ka na nii-chan may training pa tayo." Sabi ko sa kanya habang niyuyugyog ko siya. I received no response from him. "Hoy, gising na sabi eh." Sabi ko ulit sa kanya habang niyuyugyog ko siya ng medyo malakas.

"Mamaya na." He groaned before he unintentionally kicked my chin. I fell backwards and hit my head on the floor. Naramdaman kong tinubuan ako ng malaking bukol sa ulo ko. Bumangon ako at nakita ko na natutulog pa rin siya.

I grew an anime vein. Nararamdaman ko na umaangat yung buhok ko at nagwiwiggle ang mga ito na parang ahas at napapaligiran ako ng masamang aura.

I wake him up for breakfast and this is the thanks I get?! I tried being nice but no more!

I raised my fist in the air before bringing it down to his cheek.

Naruto groaned in pain before he abruptly sat up and glared at me. "Bakit ka ba nananapak?!" sigaw niya habang hinihipo yung pisngi niyang sinapak ko.

I didn't know it was possible for my anime vein to double in size. "Look at what you've done while I was trying to wake you up!" pasigaw na sabi ko habang tinuturo ko ang lumalaking bukol sa ulo ko.

When he saw the huge bump on my head, his eyes widened and he visibly gulped. "O-Ooops, s-s-sorry nee-chan." He nervously chuckled.

"Bumangon ka na jan at mag-aagahan na tayo bago pa kita masapak ulit!" sigaw ko sa kanya still having that angry face.
