3rd Person's POV

It has been two weeks since Sasuke went to Naruto's apartment. And since then a lot has happened.

With Iruka's help, Naruto managed to get out of his depressing state and helped the intelligence division unlocked the code Jiraiya left before he died.

"The real one's not among them."

That's what they decoded. Although they managed to solve the big mystery, they still don't know what it actually means and what it's for.

With this, the toads sent Naruto to Mount Myobuko to train and hopefully master Sage mode, in preparation for an upcoming battle with the supposedly leader of the Akatsuki.

On the other side, Itachi didn't show any signs of progress over the past two weeks. Not even a simple lift of a finger. That saddened Sasuke the most. He prayed for Kami to miraculously heal his Nii-san with his top-notch health. He couldn't bear seeing his brother bedridden for the rest of his life. He couldn't bear seeing him suffer for something as stupid as a sickness.

At this point, he would trade for anything, just so his Nii-san would go back to normal.

Nung papunta siya sa kusina, may naramdaman siyang chakra signature sa labas ng bahay na tinutuluyan nila. This chakra signature reminded him of the other survivor of the Uchiha clan, although he didn't know for sure.

He let out a surge of chakra to cover Itachi's chakra signature. Much to his surprise, the intruder replied with a surge of chakra signature of its own. Due to the familiarity of the chakra, he realized that this intruder is indeed the survivor.

He immediately went to the front door and opened it. The emotionless expression of the other survivor of the massacre welcomed his sight. Before the survivor could talk, he pulled her inside so no one would see them hanging around the abandoned clan compound.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" Tanong ni Sasuke sa kasama niya nung masara na niya yung pinto.

The survivor didn't bother answering Sasuke's question. She trained her eyes towards the bedridden Uchiha, looking weak and pale as ever. "Kamusta na siya?" she asked in a soft tone.

It shocked Sasuke that he saw a huge amount of concern on the survivor's visible eye. He thought he really opened her eyes to the truth so that's why she's that concerned to his Nii-san. He released a sigh as he looked at his frail brother. "Naging successful ang operasyon niya. Kaso nga lang, slim lang ang chances na makakasurvive siya. And if he does, bedridden siya habang buhay." He said with sorrow laced in every word.

Silenced enveloped the both of them as they observed the older Uchiha's condition. They were both wishing they could find any signs of movement, but it didn't happen.

The survivor exhaled heavily. "I think alam ko kung bakit." She muttered.

Sasuke snapped his head towards his companion in surprise and maybe hope. "Bakit?" He hopefully and anxiously asked.

"You noticed na kapag napasobrahan ng gamit ang mangekyo ay unti-unting naglalabo paningin natin no?" she asked with no emotion trailed in her voice.

Sasuke nodded as he took notice of the blurriness of his vision. "And what does it imply?"

She never took her eyes off Itachi. "Itachi had his mangekyo for a while now and he may have already used it more than enough to the point where it already damaged some of his organs. His mangekyo is feeding on his body's energy as a sort of payment to all the powers Itachi used with the mangekyo."
