(29) Saving Him

a/n: this chapter is longer than I expected

Naruto's POV

I kept pacing back and forth. Argh! Ang tagal lang ni Kakashi-sensei!

Sakura leaned by the fence while her eyes are darted on the ground, habang si Sasuke naman, nakaupo siya sa lupa malapit sa bakod while closing his eyes and his arms are crossed in front of his chest.

Ganito kasi yan, sinabihan kaming lalabanan daw namin si Kakashi-sensei dito sa Third Training Ground para makita daw nila Tandang Tsunade at Ero-sennin ang improvements namin at hindi sayang ang pagtrain nila sa'min. I don't know who trained Sasuke pero gusto ko rin malaman ang improvements niya.

And as usual, late na naman si Kakashi-sensei.

"Tutubuan na ako dito ng puting buhok pero hindi pa rin dumadating si Kakashi-sensei." Reklamo ko with an anime vein on my forehead.

I caught Sakura's attention. "Ganito na siya noon pa."

Sasuke remained impassive at hindi pa rin siya gumagalaw sa posisyon niya.

I abruptly sat down in an Indian style while closing my eyes and my arms crossing behind my head. "Okay sana kung magpapakita siya ng pagbabago." I muttered.

Sakura grunted in approval.

A few minutes later, a puff of smoke appeared sa itaas ng bakod. And there he was, Kakashi-sensei crouching on top of the fence with his close-eyed smile.

"Pasensya na at natagalan ako kasi may nakita akong matandang babae nung papunta ako dito at---"

"SINUNGALING!" sabay na sigaw namin ni Sakura sa kanya bago niya matapos ang sinasabi niya. He just chuckled nervously.

Minulat ni Sasuke ang mga mata niya at tumayo siya giving Kakashi-sensei his attention.

Bumaba si Kakashi-sensei at naglakad siya papunta sa tatlong nakatayong troso. Sumunod naman kaming tatlo sa kanya. Habang papalapit kami dun, memories come rushing back inside my head.

I smiled a little bit. "This takes me back." I stated with a reminiscing expression on my face.

Sakura smiled softly as well. "Dito nangyari ang first exercise ng team 7."

I think all of us remembered that day. Yung bell test ng team 7.

"Ah yes." Kakashi-sensei said with a soft look. "Kasama pa natin nun si Nikashi."

We were a dysfunctional team at first but Nikashi made us realized na kailangan namin ng teamwork. We successfully got the bells all thanks to Nikashi. Nung sinabi ni Sensei na efafail niya si Nikashi, all of us stood up for her which resulted us passing the test. Those were the times.

Then I remembered our fight sa final valley. That girl who organized our teamwork is nowhere to be seen at that time. Ang laki ng pinagbago niya.

The next thing I know, I found myself crouching down while growing depressing mushrooms with blue depressing lines above my head. I kept on murmuring Nikashi's name depressingly. Nakita ko na yun din ang ginagawa ni Sakura. Nanatiling nakatayo si Sasuke pero meron ding depressing blue lines sa itaas ng ulo niya and his face is shadowed by his bangs. His fists are clenched as well.

We snapped back from reality nung marinig namin ang bells. Nakita namin si Kakashi-sensei may hawak na tatlong bells.

"Well, let's see how much you've grown. Hindi pa kayo sumusuko kay Nikashi di ba?" Kakashi-sensei challengingly told us.

"Absolutely not." Sakura determinedly said while standing up.

"Kaya nga ako nagpursigi magtraining dattebayo!" sabi ko habang tumatayo.
