(9) Chunin Exams part 1

Nikashi's POV

"Ano ba naman 'yan! Kailangan ba talagang may written exams!?" reklamo ni Naruto.

Hay, kanina pa siya reklamo ng reklamo diyan. I'm really tempted to tell him what's gonna happen later para may heads up siya but then I realized hindi pala pwede. I sighed.

Ganito kasi ang nangyari kanina. Pagpasok namin kanina sa room 301, wala naman masyadong nangyari. Nagkita-kita lang kaming mga rookies dun. To say the least, we were kind of loud and that set off some other competitors without our knowledge. That's when a wild Kabuto appears! He told us how noisy we were and how he took the exam 7 times, which impressed some of the rookies. Psh, if I didn't know what's gonna happen, I'll think that he's a sore loser but we all know kung bakit siya nagdadrop sa exam di ba? Anyway, the next thing he did, he boasted about all those stalkerish cards he has. Being the naïve genins, they were interested in those cards. I just facepalmed. They are the death of me. After Kabuto made a comment about the sound village, some sound genins attacked him. I smirked. Buti nga sa kanya. Before anything gets dirty, Ibiki appeared. I don't have time to narrate everything else but the point is Ibiki announced a written exam that made Naruto freak out kaya dumating sa sitwasyon na to.

"Uh guys, cr muna ako ha." Paalam ko sa kanila, tumango lang sila at pumunta ako agad sa cr.

Pagpasok ko sa cr chineck ko muna if the coast is clear. Once I'm satisfied na wala talagang tao. I smirked and made a handseal. "Kagebunshin no jutsu!" I chanted. Puffs of smoke appeared before 2 clones made an appearance. "Alam niyo na gagawin niyo ha." Sabi ko sa kanila eyeing the both of them.

"Yeah, yeah, alam na namin." Sabi ng unang clone habang humihikab.

"You can count on us!" The second clone determinedly said.

"Alright now do it." sabi ko sa kanila with a smirk.

They both nodded and returned my smirk. "Transform!" sabay sabi nila before they transformed.

"Good! Halina kayo. Balik na tayo sa room." Sabi ko sa kanila bago kami lumabas sa cr.

Pagpasok ko sa room, halos lahat nakaupo na. I roamed my eyes around the room to find my designated seat. When I found it, I felt my eyes widened. Y-Yun ba talaga ang upuan ko? Tinignan ko ang seat number ko at ang number na nasa upuan na 'yun. Shet nagtugma nga!

"E-Excuse me, yan ba ang seat 17?" tanong ko sa redhead while pointing the seat right next to him.

He emotionlessly stared at me bago siya tumango.

Kami, hindi ko alam kung ano ang nagawa ko pero salamat po sa opportunity na binigay mo sakin.

Eh kasi naman. Katabi ko si Gaara! I mentally squealed. Bakit ang swerte ko?!

Before I could do anything embarrassing, umupo na ako sa tabi niya. Then I realized that he's not that much of a talker. Naiintindihan ko naman na hindi pa kami umabot sa time na nabago siya ni Naruto so I let him have his silence. Just you wait till you become my friend. Hihi.

Ibiki then proceeded in explaining the exam. I sighed. I don't wanna listen to this. How about I make a plan befriending Gaara? He's still locked in the I-don't-wanna-trust-anyone shell. I know it's really hard to break.

I looked at him. He's intently listening to the proctor pero nung napansin niya na tumitingin ako sa kanya, he looked right back at me and gave me an emotionless stare. I felt my face heat up.

I can at least try. Wala namang mawawala kapag susubukan ko.

"Magsimula na kayo." Sabi ni Ibiki snapping me out from my thoughts.
