-Kylie's POV-

I woke up to the smell of pancakes, making me mouth water.

I sat up from my spot on the sofa and looked around, and the only people who's still asleep are Ella and Jacob, who were cuddling! I took a quick picture of it and walked into the kitchen.

Victoria and Joanne was busy setting the tables while Jacques was cooking at the stove. "Good morning!" I chirped, walking next to Victoria and helping her set the table.

"Morning dear!" Joanne greeted back and Jacques just smiled at me, since he's busy cooking those delicious smelling pancakes. Victoria and I finished setting the table and we sat down with cups of hot chocolate.

"Did you guys see Ella and Jacob cuddling just now?" I asked with a smirk. Victoria squealed and and nods her head excitingly.

"Yes we have! They're absolutely adorable! I know they've liked each other since the first time they met in uni, but they're too stubborn to admit it." Joanne added with a small pout.

"GOOD MORNING PEASANTS!" Jacob yelled as he entered the kitchen with a blushing Ella behind him.

"Looks like the love birds have finally decided to join us!" I sung playfully, earning a glare from Jacob and a slap on the back of my head by Ella.

"Ow that hurts!" I fake cried. They all chuckled at our childish behaviour.

"Now that everyone's here, let's eat breakfast!" Jacques cheered.

After breakfast and all of us cleaned ourselves up, we drove to the cafe.

Even though it's only the second day of work, I feel like I've been working here for a long time. 'The Corner Family' has been very friendly and kind, which I am grateful for.

Today was a busy day, considering it was a working day and people from offices around the place would come here for lunch or a break. I really love this job though, I get to meet and talk to new people everyday.

It's 8 at night and my shift is finally over! I really love my job but I have to admit, it's exhausting.

"Ah, another busy day has come to an end!" Ella sighed as she messages her temples.

"Its not really that bad, is it? I mean, you basically work from 8 in the morning till 8 at night, plus an one hour lunch break and one hour dinner break, which means it's a 10 hour job!" Jacob explained, his hands 'dancing around'.

"Yeah, plus you two have been doing this for how long? A year or two? I've been doing this for only two days and it's really fun!" I said, Victoria nodding at my statement.

"She's making a point, guys." Joanne said, and we high fived.

"Guys, just a quick reminder but it looks like it's gonna rain soon." Jacques tells us as he walks out from the kitchen.

"Uh oh, I better go now. You know, I have to walk home after all." I waved goodbye and walked out of the door.

To my luck, it starts to rain when I was 5 minutes away from the cafe and 10 minutes away from the apartment. Even better (note the sarcasm), I don't have an umbrella with me.

"Argh, great." I mumbled to myself, rushing into a convenience store near by. I start wiping the rain drops off my arms and my bag. That's when I saw two guys walking in, their hair dripping wet like me.

They look familiar but I don't remember where have I seen them before. Maybe they're some of the customers I served today?

"Hey, isn't that the Kylie girl from the cafe yesterday?" I hear the tall guy asked. I looked to their direction and they were already looking at me. Wait, they look super duper familiar.

"Hi!" the tall guy waved at me and starts to walk towards me, pulling the short guy behind him.

"Hi?" I greeted unsurely.

"Already forgot about us, love?" the tall guy asked with a smirk, the other guy still remained quiet, but I can feel him staring at me.

"You guys do look familiar but I don't really remember your names..." I trailed off sheepishly.

"I'm James and this is Connor! Are we that forgettable?" James asked with a pout. Oh! It's 2/4 of the boys from yesterday!

"Oh! I remember now!" I said excitedly.

"Finally!" James said, pulling me into a hug.

"Can't. Breathe." I choked out, Connor pulling James away from me and smiled for the first time.

"Sorry bout that." both of them apologised at the same time. I waved them off nicely.

"So, what you doing here?" James asked as Connor goes back to his quiet mode again.

"Work just ended and boom, it started raining when I'm about to go home." I groaned.

"Ah, the two of us just had dinner and boom, it started to rain." James laughed, Connor slightly nodding.

We chatted for a while, Connor only answering with simple words and stares at me most of the time, and may I add, creepily.

"Whoa look! The rain has stopped! I better go home now, still got work tomorrow." I told them.

James nudged Connor, but he wouldn't even say a word. "We should exchange phone numbers and hang out again sometime." James suggested, glaring at Connor.

"Sure, why not?" I answered back as I took my phone out of my pocket. The moment I said yes, Connor's face lid up.

I handed James my phone while he handed his to me. I added my number in, and named myself 'The Awesome Kylie'. I know it's lame, but hey, I'm pretty tired at this time of the day.

"Well, I'll text you later, James. Gotta go now!" I waved goodbye.

"Bye Kylie, it was nice talking to you!" James waved at me as he nudged Connor, again.

"Um, bye!" Connor whispered. I could barely hear him speak.

"Bye, shy guy!" I called out, making him blush.
