-Kylie's POV-

"Are you sure you don't want me to stay here for a few more days and take care of you?" my mum asked, looking at me with concern.

I shook my head, "Positive. It's just a cold, I'll get better soon."

My family is going back to Australia today and when they saw my zombie-like face they knew something was wrong. Of course I couldn't tell them what actually happened, knowing that they would get so mad and try to hunt Connor down; so I made up a little white lie, telling them that I unfortunately caught a cold from the boys, who were also sick and couldn't come say their goodbyes.

My dad had a proud look on his face, and he told me that he was very proud of me, knowing that I've finally grown up; my mum teared up again, and told me to take care of myself or she will fly over again to look after me.

Surprisingly, my sister didn't cry this time, which I should probably thank the girls for distracting her.

Joanne, the girls and I exchanged our farewells with my family before they hurried to catch their flight.

After all of us had a quick lunch together, Joanne, Ella and Victoria headed back to the cafe to work.

I still got a few more days off because of my 'situation', even though I told Joanne I was okay to go back to work. She even threatened me by saying she would fire me if I went to work before my break ended.

Ingrid, Nicole and I went shopping, but it ended up more like Ingrid and Nicole went shopping while I just followed them around.

I stared at the girls with a bored expression as they tried to persuade me to buy something.

"C'mon, there's gotta be at least one thing you've seen today that you like." Ingrid said.

I shook my head, "I'm not really in the shopping mood today."

Nicole asked again, "just buy one thing, even if it's just a piece of jewellery?"

I ignored them and they sighed.

"Fine," Ingrid said, "since you won't buy anything, you can take all our bags and go find a table in McDonalds while we go buy some food."

They didn't wait for my reply before they handed me their heavy shopping bags filled with new clothes and shoes and then rushed away.

I found an empty table and sat down, placing the bags on the seats so other people will know it's taken. I took my phone out and started scrolling through my social media timelines.

There was nothing much going on on Facebook and Instagram; however, I've got a lot of mentions and tweets on Twitter, asking me about Connor.

'You and Connor broke up?!'

'Please tell me that it's fake and you guys are still together...'

'You guys are so perfect please don't break up'

'#WeLoveYouKylie'

At first, I was confused. Then I saw all the fans mentioning me on Connor's newest tweet.

'In another world, I know that you would be my girl, and nothing would tear us apart.'

A tear streamed down my face and I quickly wipe my faces, not wanting to be seen crying in public.

I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down as Nicole and Ingrid walked over, holding trays of food with another shopping bag?

"What took you so long?" I asked as they settled down.

Ingrid handed me the bag and I looked inside. There's a white dress with pastel floral patterns on it. I gave them a confused look but they just smiled and told me, "you'll need it soon."

"Good morning!" I greeted Jacques as I entered the cafe.

"Good morning Kylie, ready to start working?" he asked and I nodded. "Very well then, it's good to have you back!" he gave me a reassuring pat on the shoulder before going back to baking.

Joanne walked in with a wide smile when she spotted me standing in the staff room.

"Welcome back, Kylie! Get ready for a busy day!" she said enthusiastically and gave my hand a gentle squeeze.

"Is that Kylie's name I hear?!" Ella shouted and a second later she enters the room with Jacob and Victoria behind her.

Jacob gave me a quick hug and the two girls immediately joined our group hug.

It's good to be back at work.
