-Kylie's POV-
I couldn't sleep for the whole night, my mind kept on replaying what Connor told me.
"I like you because you're pretty, not only outside but inside too. You've friendly, kind, funny, but can be sarcasm when you want to. I love how you're always so cheerful and optimistic, how your eyes light up whenever you laugh or smile, you could probably wear a paper bag and I would still think you look gorgeous. Before I met you, I never understood what's so special about love at first sight, but the moment I saw you in the cafe, I finally understand the meaning of it. To me, you're special. I know you've got insecurities but those little things make you who you are."
I think I might have a tiny crush on him when I first saw him, but now I'm so confused.
My alarm rang, signalling that I've got work today. I sighed and got out of bed to get ready.
When I entered the bathroom, I got scared by my own appearance. I've got dark circles due to the lack of sleep, my eyes red and puffy from all the crying, and my cheek stained with tears.
I quickly washed my face and put on makeup to hide the evidence of me staying up all night crying.

The moment I entered the staff room, Victoria and Ella pulled me into one of the corners, both of them looking excited and cheerful. I put on a fake smile and greeted them.
"GUESS WHAT?" Victoria said excitingly, smirking at Ella. "JACOB ASKED HER OUT!"
This got my attention and my fake smile immediately changed into a genuine smile.
"IT'S ABOUT TIME!" I said as I pulled Ella into a tight, tight hug.
"He told me he planned something special but he won't tell me what is it. I need you two to help me get ready tonight!" Victoria and I nodded.
"Of course we're gonna help you, babe!" Victoria joined our hug and we were there getting all excited and hyper.

Joanne decided to close up the cafe earlier today so Jacob and Ella could get ready for their date. Victoria, Ella and I rushed to her house after work, not wanting to waste any time.
"Okay, so I've asked him what to wear and he said wear something comfortable." Ella sat on the bed nervously, waiting for Victoria and I to choose her outfit.
"How about these jeans," I asked, holding up a pair of red skinny jeans, "paired with your black and white polka dots sweater?"
Both of them nodded at my choice of clothing, Victoria pushing Ella into the bathroom to take a quick shower while both of us prepared the stuff for her make up and hair.
An hour later, we're finally finished. Ella wore the outfit I chose for her, with a pair of Toms. Victoria puts her hair up into a braided bun, while we kept her makeup simple.
"Thank you so much for helping me get ready!" Ella pulled us into a tight hug.
"You're welcome, you look gorgeous." I smiled at her.
"Yeah, I'm sure he wouldn't be able to keep his eyes off you tonight; not that he could before anyway." Victoria smirked as Ella blushed again.
"Kylie?" Ella said, her face concerned. "You seem off this morning, is everything okay?"
I froze, I thought nobody noticed.
I guess I was wrong.
I sighed, "Connor confessed to me last night."
Both of them gasped, "then why are you sad? I thought you like him too?" Ella asked, sitting down on her bed. Victoria and I followed.
"I'm not even sure myself... I've had bad experiences with boyfriends before." I trailed off, frowning.
"Give him a chance." Victoria said. "I can see the way he looks at you, he really likes you. I don't think he's that kind of guy that would play with your feelings."
"I know, it's just... Tonight is not about me, it's about Ella and Jacob!" I tried to change the atmosphere, Ella blushed again and Victoria smirked again.
The door bell rang.
"Oh my god he's here!" Victoria and I cheered, pushing Ella towards the front door.
