-Kylie's POV-
After work, Victoria, Jacob, Ella and I decided to have dinner and have a serious talk.
After we ordered our food, an uncomfortable tension was in the air and I'm sure the other people in the restaurant can feel it too.
Victoria was glaring at Jacob with anger and disappointment. Jacob was staring sadly at Ella, who was looking at her hands nervously; I, on the other hand, was just observing the three of them.
Another minute or two passed, before I couldn't take the tension anymore. "Guys, I didn't come here to sit in silence while there's obviously a problem going on."
Jacob looked away from Ella and transferred his eyes on his older sister. Ella sent me a thankful smile and I squeezed her shoulder gently, letting her know that I am here to help.
"You know, I don't even understand why are you so mad." Jacob sighed to Victoria.
"The fact that you hurt Ella, who's like a sister to me?" Victoria spat, crossing her arms and Jacob gulped nervously. "I thought you were better than this. I'm not just mad, I'm disappointed in you. You didn't even apologise to Ella. You just shoved the girl away from you and got in the backseat of the car and fell asleep!"
The two of them started arguing, totally ignoring Ella and I, as well as the attention they've gained from other people in the restaurant.
I told them to calm down and pulled Victoria away from the table, into the washroom. Before I left, I shot Ella a reassuring smile while she looked at me with so much discomfort in her eyes.
"Kylie! What are you doing! I'm not done with that kid!" Victoria semi-yelled. I explained to her what my plan was and she looked between me and the washroom door, unsure about my plan but agreed.
-Ella's POV-
The girls only just left the table and I already have the urge to get up and leave. Jacob continues to stare at me, with sadness and regret in his eyes. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat from his intense gaze.
"Ella, honey." he sighed, his voice cracking a little when he said my name.
I looked up from my hands and looked at him, but didn't say anything.
"I'm really sorry. I really didn't mean to kiss that girl. I thought she was you and my drunkness wasn't helping at all. You know I liked you ever since the first time we met, even when girls try to ask me out I denied them because I was waiting for you to finally realise that I like you."
Of course I know everything he did for me! I fell in love with him the first time he talked to me.
*Flashback*
I was walking down the corridor, rushing to my lesson. My phone ran out of battery last night and I forgot to charge it, therefore the alarm didn't go off this morning. It's the second day of uni and I've already missed the first two periods of today's lesson.
I turned at the end of the corridor when my body collides with another person. I shrieked, mentally preparing myself for the impact when I fall face first...
But the impact never came.
I opened my eyes and a guy was looking at me with concern. He's cute, I thought to myself. He has black hair and tanned skin, his eyes in a beautiful shade of hazel. "Are you alright?" he asked. Oh my, his voice sent chills down my body. I nodded, not able to speak.
He helped me up, that was when I realise he has his arms around me. I blushed and coughed awkwardly.
"Th-thanks." I stuttered nervously.
"No problem, it was my fault anyway. I'm new here and I couldn't find my way." he chucked embarrassingly.
"Oh no, it was my fault. I was rushing without looking where I was going." I said, smiling sheepishly.
"Well, then I guess it's both of our faults." he joked and we laughed.
He helped me picked up the books and worksheets that flew out of my arms when we crashed into each other. He picked up one of my textbook and asked, "you were heading to your biology lesson?"
I nodded, and he handed the book to me. "Looks like I've met my first friend here!" he examined happily. So he's in my biology lesson too?
"Well then, I guess I'll lead the way? We're already late." I laughed and took his hand, both of us running in the now empty hallway.
We were almost there when he suddenly stopped, pulling me to stop with him. "I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Jacob."
"I'm Ella. Now come on."
*Flashback ends*
I nodded. "I know everything, Jake."
He got out of his seat and sat in Kylie's seat, and took my hand. "Please forgive me..." he trailed off, "I love you."
And that was the moment I forgave him, and pulled him in for a kiss.
