-Kylie's POV-
I collapsed on my bed as I'm finally done with my nightly routine and ready for bed. I'm exhausted, physically and mentally. I was so excited because of Ella and Jacob, I almost forgot about my own problems.
Almost.
The flashbacks from last night came back to me again, making my heartbeat go rapid. Loads of different thoughts going through my mind, and my feels like it's gonna burst soon.
Wanting to clear my mind and relax myself, I plugged my iPhone into iHome, selecting a playlist with slow songs, before slowly drifting to sleep with the soft melody playing in the background.
♡♡♡♡♡ ♡♡♡♡♡
Hey girl look at what you started
Played with love got you brokenhea-
"Hello?" I answered my phone groggily, not even bothered to check who's calling.
"KYLIE OPEN THE DOOR! VICTORIA AND I HAVE BEEN OUTSIDE KNOCKING FOR THE PAST 5 MINUTES!" Ella shouted, I can hear her from the phone and the door.
"Alright alright, gimme a minute." I hung up and got out of bed. I quickly brushed my teeth and combed my hair, deciding that I'll deal with the other stuff later.
"HURRY UP YOU LIL-" I cut Victoria off by opening the door, to see her hand is about the knock on my door again.
"Geez, chill." I laughed, inviting them in as they glared at me.
"Yeah right, next time we come, we won't buy you breakfast..." Victoria trailed off, putting the bags of food on the table.
"WHOA THERE! DON'T JOKE ABOUT MY FOOD!" I ran towards her, and grabbed the bags.
We got some plates, forks and knifes and sat in the living room. "So, tell us about your date last night!" Victoria smirked at Ella.
♡♡♡♡♡ ♡♡♡♡♡
"So yeah, then he took me home and we kissed good night before he left." as Ella told us about her date, the smile on her face never left.
"Aw, was he too coward to ask you to be his girlfriend?" I teased.
"Calm your tits, Kylie! It was just our first date, he said we'd go on another date soon..."
Victoria and I stared at her in awe as she blushed, the power of love.
"Now that we've got one conversation done, let's move on to the next." Ella said, nodding with Victoria. The smile on their faces replaced by a serious one. "Kylie."
"What about me?" I asked, unsure.
"You and Connor." Oh, that's what.
"What do you wanna know?"
"Tell us everything. Including his confession."
And I told them everything. From the first time we met, to our hangouts, to the boys' teasing, and his confession.
"I'll admit this, I like Connor," I started again, "and now that he told me he likes me, everything should be clear now. But the past, is what making me step back. I don't want to make the same mistake over and over again, I don't want to end up broken hearted again."
"Is it okay if you could tell us about your... Past relationships?" Victoria asked concernedly.
I nodded, "My past experiences with boyfriends didn't end up well at all. My first boyfriend was 'the bad boy' in high school. I was surprised when he first asked me out, me being too stupid I believed every word he said. Turns out, he got dared by his other friends to date me and get my first kiss, then break up with me. I ended up heartbroken and it took me two whole months to get over him."
"My second boyfriend was my friend's older brother. When we first started dating, my friend warned me about him and his past cheating problems but I didn't listen to her. For the first two months, he was always sweet and gentle; but afterwards, he was always mean and distance. One day when I planned to go to his place and give him a surprise visit, he was the one who gave me a huge surprise." I laughed humourlessly, "I caught him in bed with a girl I've seen him flirting with on Facebook. He had been cheating on me with her, because I wouldn't give up my virginity to him. I broke up with him and was heartbroken again. I should've believed what my friend told me, I was too 'in love' and stubborn to listen to others." I let out a shaky breathe, trying to control the tears that's forming.
There was a long silence, the only thing you can hear in my apartment is the sound of my heavy breathing. Victoria was first to break the silence, "I remember Helen Keller once said, "When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us." Obviously you are completely over your ex boyfriends, right?"
I nodded.
"I think Connor is your new door of happiness."
"You think?"
"I think so too, Kylie." Ella said, giving my hand a gentle squeeze. "Just consider giving him a chance."
"I can see the way he looks at you," Victoria said, getting a hold of my hand, "it's the same way my parents look at each other, or the way Jacob and Ella looks at each other. I've seen the way you look at him too, you've always got that spark in your eyes when you look at him. It's different from the way you look at James or any other guy friends. And you always have a small smile on your face when you talk about him."
"I do?" I asked stockily, I never noticed these little actions I do.
"It's pretty obvious if you ask me." Ella laughed.
