-Kylie's POV-
*One Week Later*
I can't believe I've been in London for ONE WHOLE WEEK!
During the week, I bought all the furniture I need and decorated my house. I went with the theme of warm and comfy, that's why I chose white and wooden furniture.
I slowly got out of bed and turned the alarm off. I'm finally going to work today! I'm actually excited to go to work for the first time.
I took a quick shower and washed my hair, then I changed into the uniform which is a white t-shirt with black skinny jeans. It's plain but it's what I like about it. I plugged my hair dryer in and blow dried my hair, then put it in a high ponytail. Since I'm going to work, I went through my everyday makeup routine. Last but not least, I put on my white low-top Converse, grabbed my backpack and a box of milk, then walked out of my flat.
I locked my door, took the lift to the lobby and started walking to work. I plugged in my earphones and shuffled to Lawson's album. Ah, I love them!
*Arrived the Coffee Shop*
The smell of coffee and muffins filled my nostril, I would never get tired of this heavenly smell. I walked towards the counter and the girl who served me last time was there.
"Hi, I'm Kylie Hansen and today is my first day to work here." I introduced myself.
"Oh hey, I was expecting you to come later but you're 10 minutes early! I'm one of the workers here, I'm Ella!" she replied, pulling me into a hug. The hug was awkward because the counter was in the middle, we probably look funny right now.
"Ella, let the poor girl go! Hi, you must be Kylie!" another voice called out.
Ella let me go and both of us looked at the source of the third person's voice. "Shut up Jacob!" Ella shouted back, pouting.
"Aw, I'm sowwy." Jacob cooed in a baby voice. Ella slapped his arm and turned to me, "This sack of potato, is Jacob." I laughed at her answer.
"This is my mum's coffee shop, so welcome and we're happy that we're finally having a new member here!" he said, shaking my hand.
"One quick question, are you two dating?" I asked them while both of them blushed.
"We're not dating..." Ella answered, her face as red as a tomato.
"Yet." Jacob mumbled, and I smirked at his answer.
"I see, sorry it's a stupid question..." Jacob shock his head and sent me a reassuring smile, signalling that it's not a big deal. Ella shock her head at the same time and grabbed my arm, yanking me away from Jacob while shouting out "bye loser!"
Ella and I walked into a door that's behind the counter, where I assume this is the staff room.
"Here's your apron," Ella said while handing me the black clothing, "I'm the person who's taking orders, Jacob's the one who's making the orders with his older sister Victoria, and their mother is the one at the cashier but she just went to the washroom when you arrived. She told me you'll be taking and serving orders with me!"
"Okay, is there anything I have to pay attention to?" I asked, making sure I won't be doing anything wrong during the first day.
"Nothing much, I guess. Oh and by the way, to welcome you to join our new 'Corner Cafe' family, we're going to Jacob's house for a small party!" she said excitingly.
We exchanged numbers and she said she'll text me the details when our shifts end.
