The bus stops in front of my house and I get off. I walk up the driveway and unlock the door to my house. I close the door behind me and put my book bag down. I head straight for the kitchen. I open the fridge and grab a bottle of water.
I walk to the living room and turn on the t.v. I click through the channels,until someone walks through the door.
"Zarah! You here yet?" Payton shouts.
"I'm here." I shout back.
I get off the couch and walk into the kitchen where she is. She looks stressed out, I feel bad for her.
"What's up?" I say trying to soften the mood.
"I'm going out of town for a couple days." She says.
"When will you be back?" I ask her.
"Probably some time next week." She says.
"Where are you going?"
"I have to go on a one week field trip and I need you to watch the house for me while I'm gone." She says.
"Okay. Is that all?"
"No. I got you a car." She reaches in her purse and digs out the car keys.
She tosses them at me and I catch them.
"Thanks." I say.
I start to walk away,but I remember that Ethan is coming over.
"By the way, I have company coming later." I say.
"Please don't be loud. I going to go take a nap. Don't wake me up." She peels her arms off of the counter and walks up the stairs.
I haven't told Ethan where I live,so I decide to text him.
Z: hey Ethan. My address is 3466 Tillersville Rd.
Alpabet Boy✏️🍎: alright
Alpabet Boy ✏️🍎: I'll be there in about an hour.
Z: okay.
I put my phone back in my pocket and walk upstairs.
Ethan wasn't coming as early as I thought he was ,so I had nothing to do.
I figured I would use this time to continue my workout,which I had abandoned the past week. I open the door to my room and lock it. I change into the proper clothing and put my hair into a high bun.

I run down stairs and out of the front door. I close the door and start to stretch.
After I finish stretching, and start jogging around the block.
{An Hour Later}
I was finishing up my last run,when I get a text from Ethan.
Alpabet Boy✏️🍎: where the hell are you??
Alpabet Boy✏️🍎:I've been waiting outside your house for like 10 minutes.
Z: I went for a jog
Z:get your panties out of your ass
Alpabet Boy✏️🍎: hurry up or I'm leaving

I start to run back to my house and see Ethan leaning on the window of my car. He's still wearing his clothes from earlier.
"Get your ass off my glass." I say walking towards him.
"C'mon,we all know this car isn't yours." He chuckles.
"You wanna bet?"
I pull the keys out of my pocket and dangle them. His cocky smile fades. We walk into the house and he closes the door.
"Explain to me how you have a car now?" He asks.
"My sister bought for me. She gave the keys about an hour ago." I say.
"Cool. Can we get started on the project now?"
"Yeah." I say.
We walk upstairs and I lead him to my room.
"You can put your stuff down on the desk over there." I say.
"Okay."
I grab some clean clothes from my closet.

"I'll be right back. I have to change." I say.
"Okay." He simply says.
I walk out and head for the bathroom.Something's off. He's acting normal, for once. I have no idea what happened to him, but Im praying to God that he stays this way. Or at least for rest of the time we have to work together.
I finish changing and walk out of the bathroom. I continued walking down the hallway,and I hear Ethan talking.
"Maybe if I get her to like me it'll throw her off. She won't get valedictorian and all will be right in the world. She's so stupid." He chuckles.
I was fuming, and to think I almost gave him a chance.
