{Same Day}
I walk into the cafeteria and get my food. I buy my regular bag of chips and throw the rest of the tray away. I sit down at the table I sit at everyday,and pull out my phone. I'm still thinking about what happened earlier.
Ethan said that I was his first kiss. I feel queasy knowing that. I know I should feel good, I mean he is really kind to me now,but that't only because he hates me. I try to push the thought of him out of my mind,but I just can't.
I see Joyce coming to sit down with me.
"Here come dat boi!" I say.
"O shit, waddup!" She says.
We laugh and she sits down. She takes my chips and opens them.
"Hey! That's the only thing I eat." I take them back from her.
"Sharing is caring,Zarah." She says.
"Well, I guess I don't care." I say.
"Zarah." She whines.
"Joyce you can't have them." I say.
"You're not my friend anymore." She pouts.
"Well, I guess you can walk home." I chuckle.
"No,no,no. I'm kidding." She says.
"But anyways what's been going on with you today." I ask.
"Grayson and I are off again." She says.
"What? You guys just got back together yesterday." I say.
" I know,but he's acting like a fuckboy now." She says.
"Well, do you love him?"
"Yes,but he gets on my everlasting nerves." She huffs.
"You need to make a decision. you need to think about your future and see if you see him in it with or without you." I say.
"Yeah. Your probably right. Anyways what's up with you?"
"Nothing really. I had a test in physics, I kissed Ethan this morning, and I had to run in gym." I say.
"How'd the test - wait. Did you just say you kissed Ethan?"
"Yeah." I say.
"YES!YES!YES!" She says.
She pumps her fist in the air.
"Okay. Tell me everything."
"Well, you know my ex?" I ask.
"Nate?"
"Yeah,well yesterday when I left lunch,Ethan came up to me and trash talked as usual. Then, Nate came and pushed him against the lockers. But long story,short. I had to end up telling Nate that I was dating Ethan." I explain.
"So,what happened this morning?" She asks.
"Nate said that we were faking,which we are,but I couldn't let him know that. So, to prove that we weren't lying, I kissed Ethan. Plain and simple." I say.
"So, Zethan does live on!" She says
"No. It doesn't." I say.
"Whatever."
