~Robyn's P.O.V.~
I sit at the table, with my heart beating out of my chest. My legs shaking,as I continue to searching for her. The feeling of anxiety sends a huge wave over my body. I look down at my phone, to check the time. She's ten minutes late. I wonder where they are. I always hate to admit this, but I hate being nervous. Especially in this situation.
My mom just got back into the dating scene, considering my father is a cheating liar. I lived with my dad,but I missed my mom so I moved in with her. She wants me to meet her new boyfriend,but right now all I want to do is run for the hills.
The restaurant is slightly cold,making it harder for me to focus. I continue to look around,but someone catches my attention.
A guy.
He looks a little older than me,but not by a lot of years. He has black hair. He's really handsome,if you ask me. He looks at me and smiles. He starts walking towards me and I try to fix posture.
"Hi." He says.
"Hi." I say.
"What's a pretty girl like you,doing here by yourself?" He asks.
I smile at his words.
"I..uh..I'm waiting for my mom. She's running late." I say.
"I could keep you company while you wait." He says.
"You don't have to do that." I say.
"It's not a problem. You're beautiful." He says.
I was about to oppose him, but my mom texts me. I unlock my phone and read the text.
Motherboard👽: can't make lunch
Motherboard👽: stuck at work😪
Me: its fine mom
Motherboard👽: can we reschedule?
Me: ok
I lock my phone and turn my attention back to the guy.
"I guess you can sit, my mom can't make it." I say
"Good,my name is Ethan by the way." He says.
"Robyn." I say.

I've been sitting here for two hours, and I'm really enjoying myself. I found out that his name is Ethan, and he's 25. That's a little older than me,considering I'm only 19 but he's really cute. He also has a twin brother and an older sister. Overall, I really like Ethan.I continue to stare at him,but I get snapped out of my trance when he speaks to me.
"I have to go. I have a meeting to get to." He says.
"Um..okay." I say.
"Can I have your number,perhaps?" He asks.
"Yes." I say.
He hands me his phone and I put my phone number in. I hand it back to him and he puts it in his pocket.
"I'll call you,Robyn." He says.
"I'll be waiting,Ethan." I say.
He walks out of the cafe, and I follow behind him. I walk to my car. I get in and drive home.

(2 Months Later)
I've been talking to Ethan for two months now, and I'm honestly really happy. He's so sweet, and charismatic. He's just perfect. We've been on a couple date already, and I think I'm ready to introduce him to my mom. My mom also wants to introduce me to someone, but I'm really not interested after what happened last time. I hate seeing my mom so nervous, but I love her so I have to deal with it.
This time, my mom invited him over for dinner.
I sit on the couch ,while she makes sure everything is perfect. We continue this, until the doorbell rings.
"Robyn,can you get that?" She asks.
I get up,off of the couch, and jog to the door. I don't care to look through the peephole. I open the door and huge smile spreads across my face. I see Ethan. He has flowers in his hands,which I assume are for me.
"Hi,Ethan.What are you doing here?" I ask.
"I'm here to see my girlfriend." He says.
"Ethan!" My mom says.
She walks up to him, and plants a kiss on his mouth.
"I'm so happy you're here. This is my daughter,Robyn." She says.
"Hi,Robyn." He says.
"Mom, you mind telling me who this is." I say.
"This is Ethan. My boyfriend."
