~Melissa's P.O.V.~
I walk through the gloomy hallway,my shoes making an echo with every step I took. I continue walking,as I get greet from everyone. I'm particularly a popular person at school. I don't try to be,but I guess everyone wants me to.
I hate always being the center of attention,but I can't do anything about it. One thing I love doing is sitting in the music room after school. It's always so peacefully quiet. The silence makes me forget about all the things that go wrong in my life. It gives me the chance to just think about myself.
I continue walking down the hallway,but I hear something strange. Piano keys. They're soft like an angel's voice. I hear the melody of Fur Elise playing, which is one of my favorite songs.(true fact)
I open the door slowly and see one of the sweetest people I know.
Grayson Dolan.
His hands move swiftly along the keys. He stops, and I clap. His head snaps up, and I see a light shade of red creeping onto his face. His slightly smiles, and I enter the music room.
"Hey,Melissa." He says.
"Hi,Grayson." I say.
"What are you doing here?" Grayson asks.
"I could ask you the same thing. I never knew you played the piano." I say.
"Um...yeah. It's a hobby of mine." He says.
"You're really good." I say.
"Thanks." He says,kind of sad.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"Nothing. It's just today is my last day in the music room." He says.
"Why?" I ask.
"The school is ending the music program. They say it's for budget cuts." Grayson says.
"They can't do that. Can they?" I ask.
"They can, and they have." He says.
"Well,if it makes you feel any better my parents own a music store. You can play there if you'd like." I say.
"Really?"
His face lights up, like a little child in a toy store.
"Yeah. We can you right now,if you want to." I say.
"Why are you being nice to me?" He asks.
"I'm always nice, plus you love something that I do too. We have a bond now...I guess." I say.
"I guess we do." He says.
We walk out of the music room,knowing that this was the last day we would see it. We were both sad,but we now had a friendship, and I think that's all we've both wanted.
