"Girls can feel unpretty and undress, girls can feel unpretty and full-dress."

Song: Unbreakable - Tori Kelly

The next morning when I woke up, I stomred to Mrs. Johnson's lecture. I didn't want to face either Daniel and Sebastian. And thinking about how many times I've said that, is countless for countless unreasonable reasons.

This is just what I'm good at, I run away from my problems all the time.

I didn't have breakfast and today I didn't shower. So apparently, I look like a zombie right now.

"Sierra!" I heard Shady call after me,

"Yeah!" I called back, still walking and not looking at her.

"Stop walking." She said, taking her breath when she finally kept up with me.

I did as she commanded and waited for what does she want to say, "Yeah?"

"Why are you rushing? You didn't go to the cafeteria, Sebastian isn't clinging to your side. Even Daniel isn't hitting on you. What's up?" She asked after her small rant.

I felt like I could trust her this time. "I'm avoiding them."

"Why?"

"Stuff happened and I don't feel comfortable clinging on their sides. Anyway, where are you going?"

"Breakfast obviously." She grinned and grabbed my arm. She dragged me to the cafeteria to grab some food. I secretly prayed to God that either Sebastian or Daniel won't see me.

I wasn't in the mood for explaining my mood swings. Because I have no explanations at all.

I and Shady sat on a table and ordered some breakfast. The cafeteria's food wasn't bad at all. We ate as she told me about her week and how she did in the exam. A month in this school year has passed and I still didn't learn a thing.

I felt I and Shady's relationship grow stronger and stronger by the time. It made me so happy and weirded-up by myself at the same time.

And fate still marvels me at how my worst enemy would turn out to be my best friend.

Best friend.

The words are still foreign on my lips and mind. I've always thought that Hailey would be the only one who'll take that statement. But no, fate had a twisted plan to put my life upside down.

We finished eating and we both left to go to our lectures.

I left to go Mrs. Johnson's lecture. It was slowly becoming my favorite.

I leant down to Kylie's ear half-way through the lecture, "Wanna hangout with I and Shady after you're done?" I lowly asked her.

She solely looked at me with a bored expression, then yawned slowly, "Do you have plans?" Was her answer.

"I don't know, I think we should go to another place. I'm tired of going to the mall." I confessed.

"Oh I heard that this "Melody Café." Is pretty dope and just down the street. Let's go check on it." She told me and I resisted the urge to tell her about my job there. But if I told her about my job, I'll have to tell her about Daniel's too and I'm not really gonna break his promise. I just nodded at Kylie and continued writing notes to what Mrs. Johnson was saying.

Let me get this out of my chest; Mrs. Johnson is better than any high school teacher that I ever had. It's really weird that she's very nice and even good at what she's doing. She treats everyone equally and doesn't use the "I'm gonna lose you marks." Card. Which is pretty much why she's a good person.

When the class had came to an end, and everybody was leaving, Mrs. Johnson called on me. I arched my eyebrows as I approached her, "Yeah?"

"I just wanted to make sure everything's okay and all. You zone out a lot." She told me,

"Oh no, everything is fine. Just some minor problems with life." I laughed as I rolled my eyes at myself. Why am I having this conversation with my professor again?

"Oh, wanna talk about it?" She wiggled her eyebrows at me and I burst out of laughter. She looks like she's in her mid-twinties. Explains why she's very down to earth.

"I don't think that's a good idea," Was my answer. "Okay okay" She dismissed a hand in front of her face.

"You can go now anyway." She giggled. "It's nice having you here, Sierra." I saw in her eyes a familiar sense of home. A sense you only get sitting with your family, close friends, someone who's genuine.

I saw in her eyes hope. And a soul that surely once struggled to be here. In a very young age, the woman was spectacular.

When I got out of the lecturing Hall, Sebastian was waiting for me outside. He didn't do anything wrong, did he? So I decided I might as well act nicely with him.

"Hey yo." He approached me with a hug.

"Hey." I mumbled against his chest. He smelled nice.

"YOOO!" I heard someone shout behind me, so I turned around. Surely, Kylie was standing there.

"I'm skipping, you in? Let's go to that café right now."

I looked at Sebastian, who wasn't very happy about Kylie's idea. Silently begging me to say no. But that's my own life and I'm gonna live it the way I like.

"Yes." I answered her. "You coming Sebastian?" I eyed him, waiting for an answer.

He hesitated at first, but nodded nonetheless.

The three of us, headed off campus. But before straight heading to the Café, I texted Shady to come meet us there.

It was safe going there because Daniel worked at night, at least that's all I know. So I didn't have to worry about lying or even trying to cover up for him.

We straight-headed to the café snd Kylie and Sebastian kept fighting the whole way there. And I gotta admit, it was pretty amusing.

We sat on one of the tables as the waitress approached us with the small notebook.

"Do you wanna order now?" She asked us, feeling already fed up with the whole world.

"I want a donut and a cheesecake." Was my answer and everything Kylie and Sebastian said was a blur. I didn't really concentrate. Maybe wasn't just comprehending.

Sebastian talked about his sister, who her name was just the same as mine, for a while. I listened intensely but tried to understand a thing.

Kylie and Sebastian got up pretty well at the end on the topic of his sister, Sierra.

"Woah your sister's hot." Kylie told Sebastian when he showed us a picture of her.

"Good thing I don't have to beat you up. Thank God you're a girl." He giggled and I resisted the urge of smacking his beautiful face.

Shady showed up finally, with a huge grin on her face.

And here comes the worst time of the day, the time where I remember things I shouldn't remember.

I remembered who stabbed my mother before and why.

___________
Sorry I'm not updating. As you know, my laptop is broken so it's hard for me to write on my phone really.

Be patient with me please. Christina grimmie's death really affected me. She was in the cast of this book and I think I'm gonna remove the whole cast because I feel really bad about it. Rest in peace angel. My heart and prayers' with every victim that had died in Orlando and the whole world. 💜🙏

Anyway, do you remember when her mother got stabbed in her stomach and shoulder? And she didn't wanna call the police on the guy? Well you're gonna find out why.

I have a very big plan for this book.

Oh and feel free to message me anytime with feedbacks and even suggestions. I'll gladly accept them all.

xx
