sorry for the wait XD my bad :)

Spock, somewhere in the process of quickly sprinting form the assembly hall, had been given a touch pad that he now sorted through, looking at the lists of cadets assigned to various ships and running through additional information that the science officer needed before he got aboard his own intended shuttle.

He was therefore not paying much attention to where he was walking – yes he could see the people rushing past him and ahead of him but he didn’t see small obstacles . . . and definitely not people who just appeared from nowhere.

He managed to stop himself abruptly when it came apparent that the reappearing figure was not budging out of the way.

“Cadet Stibbons? Are you unsure as to the ship you’ve been assigned too?” He asked Kez as she stood, arms folded, face set into something of a glare.

Spock acknowledged this before continuing, “I see you are feeling negatively about something. Is it something you wish me to resolve for you?” He tried again.

Kez’s glare deepened, “The issue is not something you can resolve, Spock, it’s something you’ve done.” She moved slightly to let him past so she could walk with him by his side sharply as he proceeded with his duties.

“I am sorry, but I fail to see what I have done. I also do not condone you using the abilities of your people for simple task such as finding me. It would be seen as an abuse of your abilities to onlookers.”

Kez shook off his comments, “I’ll use my porting for what I want. It’s not like there’s many of my people left to judge me, is it? And the reason I’m here is because of Kirk.”

Spock paused to give orders to an officer who was unsure of his duties at this time of organised commotion before turning back to, who he could only describe as, his oldest and closest friend.

“You’re tone makes me believe that the proceedings with Cadet Kirk are an issue to you.” Spock said in his same calm manner as he regarded his friends face. She raised an eyebrow.

“No kidding. What the hell were you thinking calling a trial for him?! I mean, couldn’t you just have pulled him aside and talked to him or something? Why the whole assembly?”

Spock stood unmoved by Kez’s words, “It was a simple occurrence, Miss Stibbons, which needed to be brought to light. It is not acceptable that a cadet thought those actions would be dismissed without consequences.” Spock turned to leave signalling an end to the conversation.

Consequences . . . Kez jumped, that was plural.

“Wait! Spock! What other consequences are there? You already publically ridiculed him.” Kez called out before catching up to Spock.

He looked at her and she sensed his impatience on the matter.

“I took the correct measures to ensure that all was dealt with regarding Cadet Kirk. Due to his actions he is a grounded cadet until further action is taken on the matter.”

Kez was struck stunned, “What?”

“I believe, Kestrel, that you heard me perfectly well, but I am willing to repeat the main message of my statement: Cadet Kirk is grounded. Now I believe you are assigned to the Enterprise as an officer of machine and weapons assessment and analysis.” He said abruptly before turning and walking off.

Kez stood still, she knew there was nothing she could do or say that would make him change his mind about Kirk.

Instead she turned and walked way in the opposite direction, stopping when Uhura abruptly pulled her aside.

“Hey . . .?!” Kez began to protest but was cut short by Uhura who looked peeved off and ready to stun someone.

“Where’s officer Spock?” She demanded.

“Why?” Kez said bitterly.

Uhura rolled her eyes, “Because I’ve been assigned to the U.S.S Farragut and not the U.S.S Enterprise.

Kez looked at her friend, her stomach plummeting at the thought of venturing into space without Uhura.

“So I need to find Spock right now to get it changed.” Uhura added in a voice more like a demand.

Kez was quick to obey, “Over there, by the shuttle craft seven.” Kez directed and stood back as Uhura stalked off, back straight, radiating power and control, daring anyone to challenge her at this current moment.
