Chapter 24

Lucy's POV

"Hey, aren't you noticing something different between Phrina and Nixon these past few days?" Tanong ni Luke

"I know. I thought you didn't noticed. I was asking them yesterday but they just walked away" sagot ko habang nakatingin lang sa notes ko

"Have you seen Elaine already?" Pagtatakang tanong niya. Inangat ko ang ulo ko at tinignan ko siya

"Yes i saw her once" sagot ko habang tumingin lang ulit ako sa notes ko

Tinignan niya lang ako at nagtaka. Natapos na ang klase at lumabas na kami

"Lu, would you like to have lunch with me?" Nakangiting tanong niya sa akin

"What?" Tanong ko habang tinignan niya lang ako

"I said will you come and have lunch with me" nakangiting tanong niya ulit sa akin

Tinignan ko si Zach at ngumiti lang ito

"Okay" nakangiting sagot ko

"Catch you later guys" nakangiting sabi ni Zach habang lumakad palayo

Lumakad na kami at dinala niya ako sa isang resto malapit sa school. Umupo na kami at harap ang isa't isa. Umorder na rin siya at mabilis namang na serve ang pagkain

"So why did you suddenly invited me to have lunch with you?" Nagtatakang tanong ko habang kumain

"We haven't talked and hangout for awhile and i want someone to talk to" nakangiting sagot niya

"Is something bothering you?" Nag aalalang tanong ko

"Lu, how can you tell if you still love someone?" Tanong niya habang tinignan lang niya ako

"I guess you still love someone if you always find yourself thinking about her all the time and you still love her if you still talk about her" sagot ko habang tinignan lang siya

"Have you ever experienced loving someone who's already right there in front of you but you just couldn't have him or her?" Naguguluhang tanong niya. Natigilan ako at tinignan ko lang siya

Yes Luke. Actually I'm already experiencing it right now. Me loving a guy who's in front of me but I can't have him knowing that he loves someone else

"Do you still love her?" sagot ko lang sa kanya

Tinignan niya lang ako. "I didn't stop loving her"

"Oh" yan lang ang tanging naisagot ko sa kanya. It feels like my heart just broke into pieces about what he just said

I guess I'll just force myself to stop loving you and just be your friend. I know how much he loves Elaine and no one can change that. Not even me
