Have to apologise for how short this chapter is, I wrote it on the plane to America and I've only had 4 hours sleep...! - BusyScott x

"Run away with me." David mutters in the night.

"I can't." I breathe back. "I cannot abandon my children."

"What are you on about? My darling, they can come to Germany with us! They have good schools over there and they'd make new friends and-"

"David, stop. Running away is not an option for me. I have my business to think of, my dad, my brother, the kids! Just please stop." I hush him as he grabs my waist as we lie together in his bed.

"We'll find a way... But first, what are you doing about William?"

"I have to divorce him... Don't I..."

"Ros, it's not my decision."

"Tell me something..." I whisper as I feel myself falling in and out of sleep.

"You're tired." He says literally.

"Well spotted." I snort and here him chuckle quietly to himself.

"Get some sleep..."

"I can't, there's too much to-"

"Shh." He hushes me and strokes my hair which relaxes me. "Tomorrow, once you've told Will you're decision, I'll come and pick you up, and you can live with me as long as you like."

Although I didn't want to sleep, David pushed me into the sea of it, on which I sailed happily.

"Will?" I call through the house.

"Where've you been?" Will croaks.

"Eleanor's." I lie. "We had a chat, a catch up."

"Oh, I see." And although William was letting me out of the house again, he still didn't trust me. Why should he? El was covering for me, most of the time I stayed at David's.

"We need to talk." I mutter.

"Yeah, I know we do." He replies sharply.

"We can't go on like this..."

"No. No!" He bellows shockingly. "I know exactly what you're doing!"

"What?" I question.

"You're leaving me for him... You are!" Tears start to stream down my husband's face.

Is he really that scared?

"Will-"

"You can't leave me! No! I won't let you! What about Tommy?!"

"I want a divorce!" I shout.

"No you don't! Ros, you don't mean that, no Ros-"

"You should've thought about this when you realised you wanted to have an affair with another woman." I mumble, I feel the lump in my throat grow heavy and soon becomes almost impossible to not cry.

"I didn't mean to!"

"I'm going to pack my bags, live with David for awhile and then I'll get my divorce papers to you." I say calmly.

"Ros no!" He screams like Tommy does when he doesn't get his way.

I ignore him, and treat him as if he were one of the boys playing up. I run upstairs, pack my bags as fast as I can and suddenly stop and look at my pale reflection.

I touch my skin, was I really this heartless? What if David left me again? I'd be a single mother all over again!

Are you sure about this Rosalind? Once done, it's done.

I shake my head from my thoughts, I didn't want to spend the rest of my life unhappy! I wanted my boys to actually enjoy their lives not hide behind closed doors so they couldn't see their parents fighting!

How am I to tell the boys? What about Ziggy?!

A million questions zoomed in my head, and I can still hear the small whimper my husband is giving me because of my words and actions.

Stay strong Ros.

I dragged my suitcases down the stairs one by one making a terrible clatter noise, more wailing came out of Will, and the harder I was finding this.

"You're leaving your own children!" Will says disgusted at me.

"No, I'll be back for them in the morning." I say cooly.

"Rosalind Hester, if you leave this house you will never see those children again!" His voice, as harsh as thunder. His words, as true as anything... He was serious.

"You'd stop me from seeing my children?" I say hurt.

He just nods and smirks evilly. "See you in court." Is all I can say and I walk out with my suitcases.

David's already on my drive and he helps me get the cases in the trunk  of his car.

"What am I doing?" I whisper but David can hear me.

"The right thing."

I hope so...

"I'm more worried about the boys then anything." I admit and hop into the front of his car.

"Don't be, we'll get them in the morning and we'll get you the best lawyers. Could you imagine? Ziggy and Tommy meeting Zowie?! How wonderful!"

"What?" I say still in a daze about everything that's just happened.

"Did I not tell you?" David ponders. "Margo, her daughter Madison, and Zowie are all flying over in the next couple of days!"

"David, that's wonderful" I smile got him.

"And, I have a surprise for you." He winks to me as he smoothly drives his black car.

"What is it?" I ask.

"Any chance we could go to the concert grounds later?" He asks back, ignoring my question.

"Of course, but why?"

"You'll see." He smirks.

At a red light, he puts a cigarette in his mouth and lights it. The smoke fills up the car and I cough frantically, he chuckles slightly. Once the lights turn green, he chucks the cigarette out of the window and the purr of the car tears up the road back to his Brixton house.
