Hi guys! Today is the day of my prom and I am so excited! x

After a relaxing breakfast, David drove us in his beautiful, powerful car. It was raining hard, a typical English day, so David's car roof was up to keep us dry.

"You ok?" I say, trying to be gentle but still trying to compete with the loud sound of rain.

"Of course my darling." He smiles nervously.

"I've texted Margo to say we're on our way home, she said the boys were fine."

"Good..." David mumbles.

His music plays softly, and I could feel the nerves radiating off of him. He was nervous to meet his own son... I was nervous!

David pulled into my drive and together we ran to my door and burst through to keep dry. I look down and see I'm only a little wet, My blue jeans had water splatters all over.

"Hello you two," Margo winks to us. "good night?"

"Yes, it was lovely." David smiles to her then at me.

"Where are they?" I breathe quietly to Margo.

"They're outside." Margo whispers back.

"Boys?" I call to them.

I hear the patter of their running feet, I can feel the excitement and suddenly:

"Mummy!" They say in unison.

They sprint into the hallway then suddenly stop. Their smiling faces turn to wide eyes and shocked expressions. Tommy was just starstruck but Ziggy's pink cheeks turned white and his eyes turn ghostly.

Afraid of Ziggy's face, I flash my head round to David's. His face mirrored his son's, David's mouth hung open slightly, and his eyes were pooling with water. It was silent, I didn't know what to say or do, neither did Margo.

"Boys," I mutter. "This is David Bowie."

It's silent again, David and Ziggy hadn't moved nor had they taken their eyes off of each other.

"IT'S DAVID BOWIE!" Tommy shouts ecstatically and dives onto David which makes them both stumble to the floor.

Ziggy still looks at David fixedly, and with great effort I shift my body towards him. I reach for his shoulder and once there the zap of his cold skin stings me.

"Ziggy?" I mutter. "Are ok darling?"

"I'm-" He still looks to David with wild eyes. "I'm fine." He gets out.

I look back to David who is already talking to Tommy and Margo.

"Why don't you go and say hello?" I smile to Ziggy and kiss his head.

The boy won't move. I haven't seen my son like this before, it almost worried me...

With a little nudge, Ziggy began walking towards his biological father. David notices Ziggy's graceful steps towards him and puts Tommy back down on the floor. Everyone's smiles but Tommy's, turn serious, as us grown up realised how important this moment was.

My teeth chattered and my nails became my jaws pray, I could feel the strain of my hair being pulled with my other hand, my eyes just as wild as the wind.

David seemed much more calmer then I did, he sucked in a big breath and half smiled to his son. I couldn't even imagine how hard this was going to be for him, how desperate was he to tell Ziggy he was his father?

"Hello Ziggy." He says in his beautiful British accent.

"Hello." Ziggy replies just as angelic.

"My, my, you are a handsome fella aren't you?" David winks to him which makes Ziggy blush.

Margo can't help but scoff a laugh and my eyes grow even wider then before. I take my nails away from my jaw and flatten out my ruffled hair.

Tommy looks at me with wondering eyes and prances over to me. "You ok Tommy?" I ask and pick him up. "Goodness you're getting heavy!"

Tommy giggles childishly and I give him a warming kiss on his cheek. David and Ziggy make conversation, finally my son was coming out of his shell and even laughs once in awhile.

"Mummy?" Tommy questions. "Weren't you wearing these jeans yesterday?"

I hear David chuckle in the background and he creeps up behind me as he speaks softly. "Your mummy forgot to pack a bag for a sleepover, isn't that right, Blue Jean?"

I twist my head quickly at David almost hoping the boys didn't quite catch the sleepover part but I smirk to him, thinking of last nights new nickname.

"Silly mummy!" Tommy calls back and I laugh too.

"Have you boys had something to eat? It's almost lunch time." I say motherly.

"I'm hungry..." Tommy mutters sulking.

"Zigs? How you feeling?"

"Can I sit next to David?" He says sheepishly.

"Oh course you can my boy." David smiles his crooked smile and picks Ziggy up into his arms then flings him onto his back to give him a piggy-back ride.

"Let's get some lunch ready then." I smile and put Tommy back down on the floor.

David and the boys head outside and start to play together. To me and Margo it was so obvious that David and Ziggy were related, but in Ziggy's eyes, he was just his idol, nothing more, nothing less.

In that moment I saw a lot of myself in Ziggy, because 10 years ago I didn't realise how important David would be to me, but now Ziggy was experiencing the same as I did.

The phone began to ring loudly through the house, the chime echoed everywhere and Margo hands it to me.

"Hello Rosalind Hester speaking." I hold the phone between my ear and shoulder as I begin to cut up some vegetables for lunch.

"Ros?" I hear a young mans voice. "It's me, Henry!"

"Hen!" I call back with a wide smile on my face. "How's university?"

"Wonderful, though I am home for a few days and pondered on the idea of seeing my sister and my nephews?"

"That would be great! The boys miss you so much, and dad, they haven't seen their grandad in quite some time now... When were you thinking of coming up?"

"Are you busy tomorrow?" He asks.

"Not at all!"

"Brilliant, me and dad will see you all tomorrow then."

What about David? And Margo?

"Hen," I call back. "There are a few people here you might remember from awhile ago."

"Really? Who, Ros?"

"Just- don't be alarmed, ok?"

"Ok..." He says unsurely. "See you tomorrow then."

"Bye Hen." And I put the phone down.

I turn to Margo, her face is already asking me who and what. "My brother and dad are coming tomorrow."

"David?" Margo yells to outside.

David is already pacing through the kitchen to see me leaning against the kitchen counter. "My brother and dad are coming tomorrow." I repeat.

"That's ok, do you want me to stay or go?" David asks.

"Can you stay?" I look to them both but Margo avoids my eyes.

"I would love to Ros, but I've been called to get back to America, and my plane leaves in the morning... I'm sorry." She says sadly.

"It's ok... David you're not-"

"No, I'm staying here." He whispers, takes my hands in his then kisses my head gently.

"Mum?" Ziggy's voice filled with shock, all three of us look to my eldest boy and our faces pattern his. "Why did David just kiss you?"
