David P.O.V.

The fact that I know it's Ros terrifies me more, I'm shaking, I feel the cigarette fall effortlessly from the grasp of my fingertips, I wanted to move, but why couldn't I?! I wanted to scream for her, to tell her I'm coming. She screams again, more painfully now, harsher, rawer, and less shocked and that's when I feel myself beginning to move. I ran, hurdling oncoming cars and knocking people out of the way if I came across them. My breath was thick, and I could've sworn I tasted blood in my mouth.

I turn the corner, puffed out and I see my darling girl leaning against the wall. One hand on her stomach, over where our daughter was lying safely, Ros's other hand just above her heart. Her cheeks was red, and her neck had botches of blood. I notice her hand is covered in it too, a knife lies on the ground, smothered in her thick scarlet liquid, Rosalind had been stabbed.

I feel my breathing become more uneasy, I could feel my heart failing on me, but I still manage to rush to her side. "David!" She whines and I can see her slipping down the wall, her eyes glossed with frightened tears, she's gasped loudly, like she was a fish out of water.

I grab her before her head hits the ground and I see where she's bleeding, she had been stabbed just above her heart, I move her hand and a hole is clear, and the blood, oozing out of her, and it wouldn't stop. How do I stop the blood?! I rip my coat off, feeling the ice bite at my flesh, even through my shirt, and I put the coat firmly on the wound. I search my pockets for my phone... I left it in the pub! Stupid!

Ros is still struggling for breath, she's panicking. "Ros," I mutter scared too.

Her eyes are startled, I don't even think she knows what's happened herself! "Shh." I hush her and cradle her closer to me, the blood on my hands feel warm, and I push harder against her, she was losing so much blood!

I look around, praying to find any sign of life. The pub was only around the corner, I could get Larry to call the paramedics, but I couldn't leave Ros! "HELP!" I shout as loud as I can. "HELP ME PLEASE!"

I could drag her across the road and into the pub. No... She'll lose even more blood and die!

I look down and see Ros's cheeks are fading from rose to white. She didn't look as startled now, more calm and peaceful. But I had to get her to communicate with me, to know she was still conscious and aware of her surroundings. "Tell me something Ros, anything!" I demand skittishly.

"David," she whispers. "I won't see 1985."

"Yes you will!" I feel a tear push its way out into the open and onto my cracked skin, and it splashes on her forehead which makes her wince. "HELP!" I scream again, crying harder now.

"I love you David."

"Ros, you are not leaving me!" I grab her tighter, pleading, demanding she doesn't go.

She looks past my face now and up at the sky, I'm almost worried she'll blind herself, she's practically looking straight up into the orange street lamp. "Did you ever notice how beautiful the sky was, Starman?"

"Ros, look at me!" She wasn't listening to me anymore, just talking to herself.

"Kevin will be found, don't take vengeance on him. He'll be found." She says peacefully.

Kevin did this?! I howl angrily inside me.

"I'll do everything I can to get him sent down for life, then you and me will laugh on his grave when he dies!" I smile to her.

"You will dance on his grave." Ros whispers.

"Ros! You're not dying! You're not! You're being dramatic again!"
