The following morning it seemed me and David were the last up.

The boys were eating cereal messily, spilling milk all down their pyjama tops and laughing around with their uncle and grandad.

"Good morning." I croak and sit at the table.

"Sleep well?" Henry smirks.

I smirk back and nod. "Yes thanks." David sits next to me and kisses my cheek.

"Coffee?" He asks offering to make me some.

"Yes please." I yawn and then I look towards my boys. "Good morning my boys, how did you sleep?"

"Very well thank you." Ziggy smiles and takes a bite out of his toast.

I look at the time and see they're late for school. "Oh my god!" I jump from my seat. "Go and get your uniform on now! Quick!" I squark at them and they jump from their seats and scurry up the stairs.

"Ros, sit down I'll take them to school." Henry says rolling his eyes. "Typical of you to forget they have school today!"

"It's nearly the holidays, who cares?!" I laugh and Henry winks to me then gets ready to leave once the boys are done.

That just left me, David and dad sitting round my kitchen table. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed, me and David, barely covered by clothes, and we were sitting in front of my elderly father. "So..." My dad mutters.

"So..." I repeat.

"Are you going to live in David's house now or staying here?" Dad asks.

"Oh well it's very difficult, Mr Chester, you see-" David starts. "See, the fact is I'm a very busy man, even if I am approaching my 40's!" He laughs but inside you can tell he hates getting older.

"What he means is, David will be travelling a lot. He has fans to see, concerts to perform at, parties to go to..." I continue.

"And what about Will?" Dad questions sternly.

"We have no idea." David holds my hand now, and I feel my breath is sharply taken away. "He has to come back at some point, just when is the question."

"He'll be back." My dad mutter confidently. "His children are here." I can see David's pained face now, he hated the idea of sharing the boys with William. Especially at the fact that one of the boys wasn't even Will's blood!

"So what are your plans today?" Dad asks after a moment.

"I'm going to be busy writing up my next song, what about you Ros?" David diverts the question back to me.

"I suppose I'll have to go to work." I huff.

Although my life was a mess, David managed to help me on the work side of things. I was practically up to date with everything, so there wasn't a huge amount for me to do.

Henry plops down the stairs with the boys following like sheep, I sigh and smile at them. They both looked scruffy and I roll my eyes, would they ever learn?

With me as their mother, probably not.

"Thanks Hen." I call as I see him putting on his jacket which he didn't really need as I knew it was warm outside.

"See you all in a bit." He calls back.

"Hen, I'm actually going to work soon, so will you be here once I'm back?" I ask.

"Probably not, I have to take dad home then I'm going back to Oxford to finish the term." He admits.

"Oh, ok... Well..." I turn to the boys. "Once you're at school give Uncle Henry a long kiss and hug because he's leaving!"

The boys groan which makes Henry laugh. "C'mon!" He calls to them.

"Bye boys! Hen, I'll speak to you soon."

"See you soon Ros, come visit Oxford some time, you'd like it." Henry winks then leaves.

"Dad, are you ok if I go out today?"

"Yes, Rosalind. I can still remember how to look after myself." He chuckles.

"Let's go." I pull at David's hand and together we go upstairs to change.

David changes into some of Will's clothes again, and soon enough I knew David would have to start bringing his own over. "Do you want to come to the concert grounds with me today? Or are you going to go back to yours to write a song?" I ask pulling my blue jeans on.

"I'm going back to mine if that's ok, all my notes are there, and I don't want you seeing them." He smirks.

"Fine," I smirk back and pull my hair into a pony tail. "I'll see you later then." And then lace up my red trainer shoes.

"Yes, you will." He smiles then kisses my head. "I love you."

"I love you too." I mutter to him then leave in my dirty red car.

Amazingly, Will hadn't taken the car, but it was ridiculously run down and was definitely on it's last legs. The car, with great effort pushed itself across Brixton roads to my concert grounds.

Once there, I see few people. Our most recent concert was a success and now people were slowly packing it all away for whoever was next to perform.

The grand piano sat still in the middle of the stage, and I could feel my fingers twitch at the site of it. Without myself knowing, my legs carried me up onto the stage and sat me at the piano. No one was watching, it was just me and the beautiful instrument.

My fingers carefully tapped the keys, each one sounding more and more like David's newest song, Blue Jean. The more I played, the more time began to run away from me.

"Boss?" One of my workers called. "What are you still doing here?"

I look up from the piano startled. "I- uh-" I stutter.

I glance at my wrist and see the time, panicked by the two hands that spun round, I jump out of the stool and dash across the concert grounds.

3:30 p.m.

I had to pick the boys up, and play them Blue Jean! They hadn't heard it yet and I was so excited to tell them it was written about me...
