April 11th, 2016-

"So, who was the girl you were with yesterday anyway?" Travis asked, taking a large bite out of the greasy school pizza he had on his plate.

Drew shook his head, pushing away the cheesesteak he had got. "It doesn't matter."

"I was just asking. I'm curious. I didn't know you were messing with anyone else." Travis responded, taking his fruit punch juice to the head and loudly burping afterwards.

"It just, sort of happened." Drew slowly replied, trying to express the story without exactly telling his friend.

He couldn't tell Travis that he had been sleeping with Miss Parks since school started, that would only have a conclusion of being something extremely bad.

"I feel you. A one night stand?" Travis asked another question, watching as Drew dropped his head into his palms.

"That went on far too long." He finally whispered, as Travis reached over, grabbed his cheesesteak and started unwrapping it.

"Well, do you have feelings for whoever this mystery lady is? Like, do you love her?" Travis bit into the cheesesteak, looking over at Drew whom picked his head up and rested it on the table.

"Of course not. I've been in love with Mariah since the eighth grade. I brought her to my mom's grave and everything." Drew responded.

"So, you love Mariah. Is she worth losing?"

Drew bit his lip, thinking. Without a doubt, he knew that Mariah was not worth losing. But ending things with Dawn could potentially be bad too.

She was his ticket to getting his credits. And if he didn't continue what he had going on with her, she would take him off her extra help roster.

Which left a heavy weight on his shoulders. Did he really want to continue what he was doing and lose Mariah or go and get his girl?

"I have an idea," Drew stood up and swung his legs over the table, his head gesturing towards the doors as he turned to Travis. "Let's go."

"Where are we going?" Travis asked, shoving the rest of the sandwich in his mouth as he went to grab his drink.

"To go get my girl."
