In A Matter Of Seconds [Under Editing]

Emely debated whether or not she should go in or not. She bit her lip before walking in. They had some catching up to do,  but what if something happened to him?

"Why didn't S.T.A.R Labs call?" Emely heard a girl, who she assumed was Iris, say as she entered and approached them.

"Because he just woke up." Iris looked at her.

"I'm Emely Hart, Barry's..." Emely looked at Barry.

"Girlfriend?" Emely widened her eyes. 

"No! We just met. I just moved to Central City today. I'm from New York. I was gunna say new friends but I wasn't sure if we are friends so I looked at Barry." The dark skinned girl smiled at Emely

"You seem just like Barry. You both ramble on when you're nervous. It's really cute." She blushed for what seemed like the hundredth time today. 

"Anyways, I'm Iris West. Nice to meet you." Emely smiled back.

"Nice to meet you too." She looked back at Barry. 

"Are you okay? Should you even be on your feet? Is that why Emely is with you?" Barry sighed.

"I'm okay, Iris. Really." Her face fell.

"I watched you die, Barry. You kept dying. Your heart kept stopping." Barry grabbed her hand and placed it on his heart. 

"It's still beating." He smiled.

"It feels a little fast." Emely looked at Barry in confusion. 

"Oops." Emely heard a woman say. 

Suddenly, it was as if the world slowed down. Everything was in slow motion. And then, in the blink of an eye, it was over.

"Are you okay, Tracy?" Emely looked over at Tracy. 

"Yeah, I got it." Emely looked back at Barry who looked confused.

"My dad is gunna be so happy to see you. Let me get my stuff, okay? I'll be right back." She left and Emely faced Barry. 

"Are you okay, Barry?" He looked her in the eyes. 

"I don't know. Did you feel like everything was slowing down?" She nodded.

"Did you feel it too?" He nodded as Iris came back. 

"Alright, let's go." The three of them made their way to the Central City Police Department.

A slightly older man came up to Barry as soon as he saw him. 

"Oh, you scared the hell out of us kid." Emely watched as the man brought Barry into an embrace.

A bald man walked by them and saw Barry. 

"That was quite a nap you took there baby face, and yet, you still look 12." Emely laughed.

"Emely, this is Detective Joe West. Joe, this is Emely." Emely shook Joe's hand.

"Your Iris West's father, correct?" He nodded.

"That's correct. So, are you Barry's girlfriend? Or friend he likes? I mean, you are the first girl he's introduced me to." Emely looked at Barry who was blushing, yet again. 

"She's just a friend, Joe. A very good friend."

Emely mentally sighed as she felt a pain in her heart when Barry said that she was just a friend.

"Are you really okay?" Joe placed a hand on Barry's shoulder.

"Yeah." A woman approached Joe.
