Chapter 48

Barry stared.

He couldn't believe his eyes.

Cisco had told him to go to the morgue. Confused, he did so. And when he got there, he saw Emely.

Not in a coma

Not in a hospital. 

So what did Barry do?

He went over and kissed her. 

Hard.

"Barry." He held her in his arms with all his might. 

"Are you okay?" 

"I am now." 

"What's with all the water? Did the sprinkler system go off or something?" 

"What? No, I checked the sprinklers. They're all intact. But the water has ice in it. And the bruises on the coroner aren't just on his face. Check. Look at his torso." Joe lifted the shirt

"Whoa." Emely looked at Barry

"Bebz, how did you know that?"

"He was killed by hail. We have to listen to the recording."

"What recording?" 

"Joe, Emely, we got something. The coroner's office just installed an automated diction system. Listen to this." Barry sighed as he heard what he already had heard. 

"That's Mark Mardon. He wants revenge." Joe looked at Barry as  the recording ended.

"Clyde Mardon has a brother?"

Barry went to S.T.A.R Labs with Joe and Emely

"And both brothers survived the plane crash and then the dark matter released from the particle accelerator explosion affects them both in-" 

"Virtually the same way." Barry said in unison with Dr. Wells.

"That's right."

"Only Mark's not like Clyde at all. He can do things you can't even imagine." 

"He's a-"

"Weather Wizard." Barry said in unison with Emely, as Cisco took a sip of his drink.

"Trigeminal headache." Emely looked at Barry as they both said it. 

"Mr. Allen. A word, please." Barry followed Dr. Wells away from Caitlin, Cisco, Emely and Joe. 

"What just happened?"

"I don't know, but I'm gunna find out."

Barry had gone to CCPD and Emely dragged him to his lab

"What did you do?"

"What do you mean?" Emely crossed her arms.

"I know you did something. You knew what we were gunna say. How?" 

"Lucky guesses." Emely looked at him

"You know, Barry, I trust you. But I never thought you would ever lie to me about something."

"Emely-"

"Unless you're gunna tell me the truth, don't talk." Barry sighed as she walked out

Emely went back to S.T.A.R Labs and Barry shortly brought Mark Mardon and put him in the pipeline.

As he closed the door on Mardon, Emely stared at him.

"You're gunna lie to me again and say that it was a lucky guess that you knew where to find him?"
