Chapter 29

Later that night, Caitlin and Cisco sat Emely down for a talk.

"So, it's been weeks now. You and Barry spend time together. A lot of time together." 

"Cisco." Caitlin gave Cisco a look.

"What? I'm not being direct." Caitin sighed and rolled her eyes.

"We saw you kiss Barry after I bandaged your hand up. We wanted to know if you and Barry are togther." Emely sat and thought. 

"Well, he only just admitted his feelings for me days ago and hasn't really said or done anything other than that, so I don't know We're not together, at least not yet anyways." Cisco started to grin

"Bemely." The two girls looked at each other with confusion.

"What's Bemely, Cisco?" 

"Barry and Emely's ship name." Emely rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"You don't like it? What about Barremely?" Emely smiled at Cisco.

"Choose whichever one you want." Cisco nodded.

"So it's between Bemely and Barremely." Emely glanced at the computer and noticed a red dot moving. 

"Barry, talk to me. What are you doing? What's your plan?" Everyone looked at each other as Barry was silent.

"Babe, don't run angry. We don't know how to defeat him yet." Barry was still silent.

"This is definintely the place." Emely rolled her eyes. 

Barry was silent for the longest time and that worried Emely.

"Barry." She looked back at Cailtin and Cisco with a worried expression. 

"Barry." She stood up and ran out of the Cortex and went down to where the kept the vans. 

Caitlin and Cisco went after and they held on as Emely sped her way there. Emely ran out of the van and into the place. 

"Barry. Where are you?" She saw a red hand sticking out and moving.

"Barry!" She ran to him and pulled him out gently. 

"Babe." He groaned as Caitlin and Cisco caught up to her. 

Cisco and Emely helped Barry to the van and took him back to S.T.A.R Labs. When they got back, Dr. Wells was furious.

"I told you that we would figure out a way to deal with him." 

"I'll heal." Dr. Wells pursed his lips.

"You can't heal if you're dead. He could've killed you." Barry stood up. 

"I know, alright? I know. In the past 36 hours, I've had my ass handed to me twice by the guy that  tortured me as a kid. I couldn't stop him then and I can't stop him now. Even with my powers, I still feel powerless against him." Cisco and Caitlin glanced at Emely who was sitting on the floor with a blank expression. 

"Barry." Cailtin motioned at Emely.

"Em, are you okay?" Barry walked to her and sat down next to her. 

"What's wrong?" She stood up.

"What's wrong? You're asking me what's wrong? You almost died, Barry. You almost died yet you told me that you wouldn't. Do you know how it felt to watch you like that? Just one more hit and you probably could've-" Her bottom lip quivered and Barry rushed over to her.

"No. I'm not dead and I'm not going to die." She sobbed into his shoulder as he rocked her. 

"I promised you I wasn't going to die and I intend to keep it." She sniffled and pressed her mouth to his ear.
