In A Matter Of Seconds [Under Editing]

Chapter 49

Emely stared at her parents, the ticking of the clock was the only sound in the room. 

"Emely-"

"Not yet." Her father, Andrew, sighed.

Emely's phone pinged and she saw that Caitlin needed her at S.T.A.R Labs. 

"I have to go." 

"We'll go with you." Emely faced them.

"You'll stay here until I return." Her parents nodded and went back to sit on the sofa.

"Sorry. I just...I need to process this."

"We understand. Take your time." Emely nodded before heading to S.T.A.R Labs.

When she got there, the first thing she noticed was Cisco's return.

"You're okay." Emely hugged him tightly. 

"How did you escape?" 

"I didn't." Emely was confused.

"You didn't escape? Then how'd you get out? Did he just let you go?" 

"He tortured my brother." Emely placed a hand on Cisco's arm. 

"What?"

"He was gunna kill him if I didn't...if I didn't tell him..."

"Who the Flash really is." Everyone looked at Emely

"I'm not the only person they could get that information out of." 

"They could've killed me, but they were gunna kill my brother." Emely hugged Cisco as he shed some tears

"I couldn't let him do that." 

"I know, Cisco." Barry went over and hugged Cisco as well.

Emely and Barry let go of Cisco and he started to walk away

"Where are you going?"

"I don't deserve to be here."

"Francisco Ramon, now you listen to me, don't think for a second that you don't deserve to be here. Like Caitlin said, we couldn't do what we do without you. Okay, you told Snart who the Flash is. But you protected your brother. You really do care about your brother. When it comes to family, we make a lot of mistakes. But as friends, we're there to forgive those mistakes and learn to move forward." Without saying anything, Cisco left.

"Really?" Barry hugged Emely from behind. 

"You tried." Emely sighed

"Yeah, now I have to go deal with something." 

"What is it?"

"People."

"Aunt Alice said that you guys were scientists, and that you had an emergency here in Central City, so you left me with her for a month, but it ended up being longer than that." 

"We thought it would take a month. The problem wasn't solved when the particle accelerator exploded. Our company was destroyed." Emely scoffed

"So now that you've lost everything, you decide you wanna be parents again."

"Emely, it's not like that."

"Then what is it?! You left me and didn't communicate with me. You could've called at least once a month, or once a week. Or how about everyday. But no. I guess that your company was important than your daughter." Without saying anything, Emely headed to S.T.A.R Labs

What she didn't know was that her parents were following her. 

Emely sighed as she turned on the lights, seeing as nobody was there. She in the chair and rested her head against the cool surface.
