"I have to go to the station." Emely wiped her tears away.
"No, you should be resting." Barry shook his head.
"I need to talk to Joe." Barry left and nobody stopped or went after him.
"Aren't you going to follow him?" Dr. Wells questioned Emely.
"I'm tired of chasing someone who won't feel the same about me." Cisco widened his eyes.
Before the long haired man could say anything, Caitlin spoke out.
"Can you come with me for a second?" Emely nodded and followed Caitlin.
The two women sat in the particle accelerator, not saying a word. They both were in their thoughts, one about her childhood and the other about her dead lover.
Barry returned to S.T.A.R Labs and questioned the long haired man where the two women were. Barry had set out to find them, and he did. He sat next to Emely and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
"How are you?" Emely shrugged.
"It hard to understand." Barry nodded.
"Caitlin, I'm sorry for scaring you like that. I needed to leave." Caitlin nodded.
"I get it. It's just...Ronnie said those exact words before he left that night." Barry nodded.
"My mother died 14 years ago. I used to think that the further away I got from it, the less it would hurt. But some days, the pain was worse than the day that it happened. Some things you can't fight. I mean, look at Emely. She has parents that she doesn't even know if they're still alive." Emely sat up straight.
"Emely, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way." Emely shook her head.
"It's okay. You're right though." They were silent for awhile.
"For so long, I've been terrified of going into that hole." Emely nodded.
"I know how you feel. For years, I've hated the name Emelia." Barry looked at the two women.
"What if I helped you both? I could go in the hole with you and I could call you Emelia?" Caitlin nodded and Emely shook her head.
"I like the name Emely." Barry nodded.
Emely stood up and Caitlin and Barry stood up with her. The three of them went into the hole without saying a word. Caitlin looked around as she stood in the place that killed her fiancé.
"He saved so many lives that day and no one will ever know what he did." Emely placed a hand on Caitlin's shoudler.
"I do, and so does Barry. We may not have known him like you, Cisco and Dr. Wells have, but we know that he was a hero that day." Caitlin smiled at the shorter girl.
"Thank you." Before Emely could respond, Cisco's voice echoed in the hole.
"You guys down there? You gotta come look at this." Emely looked from Caitlin to Barry before heading back up.
"Guys, check this out. It's a 3D molecular model of the gas from your lungs. We also identified the toxin." Emely looked at the results.
"Hydrogen cyanide?" Dr. Wells nodded.
"What's interesting is what's mixed in with the cyanide. A sedative."
"The night of the explosion, find out if anyone was executed." Caitlin walked away with Emely behind her.
"Why?" Barry questioned.
"That sedative is given to criminals on death row before they go and breathe in hydrogen cyanide." Dr. Wells nodded at Emely.
