Chapter 32

"Farooq Gibran." 

Emely and Barry had returned to S.T.A.R Labs the next day.

"Who?"

"The meta-human who stole Barry's powers. His name is Farooq Gibran." Emely nodded.

"He was climbing a electrical tower when the particle accelerator went off." Emely raised her eyebrows. 

"No surprise where his powers came from." The computer started to beep and Cisco went over.

"Oh, you've got be kidding me. This isn't happening right now." Everyone went over to him.

"Dr. Harrison Wells," he started, "I need to see you! Come on, I know you're in there. Open the door." 

Barry looked at Emely and grabbed her hand tightly. 

"I just wanna talk, Dr. Wells." They all watched as he started to suck all the electricity, making the power go out. 

Shortly after, the building started to shake. 

"He's inside." Emely hugged Barry from behind. 

"Em, it's gunna be okay." While Barry called Captain Singh, Lily stayed close to Cisco.

"Does this always happen?" 

"No. Not really. They usually just beat Barry up." Lily bit her lip and put her hand through Cisco's. 

"Joe and Iris are in trouble." Emely let go of Barry's hand and ran out of the Cortex. 

"Emely!" Barry ran after her but she was too fast for him without his speed. 

Emely called Paul after she had safely gotten outside and asked him to take her to CCPD fast. 

"In a rush?"

"More like an emergency." Paul nodded and took Emely there as fast as he could.

"Whoa. Is something happening?" Emely nodded as Paul came to a stop in front of CCPD.

"Keep the change." Emely opened the door and quickly got out.

"Captain Singh, what's going on?" Captain sighed as he saw Emely.

"You're gunna have to go in there and handcuff him." Emely widened her eyes and nodded.

She was nervous. She wiped sweat off her forehead as she saw the hostages and the criminal. Joe, Iris and Eddie saw Emely and they widened their eyes.

Emely quietly walked over and was almost there when he suddenly shot Emely when he turned around.

"I just shot Detective Hart."

Captain Singh pulled out his phone hastily and called Barry.

"Allen, Hart's been shot. Emely's been shot."

Barry's world froze as he heard those words.

"Barry?" Caitlin put a hand on his arm. 

"I need my powers back now."

Emely stood up and tried to walk away but Tockman didn't let her.

"Oh no, princess. You're staying here." Emely got shot on her leg.

She fell to the floor and groaned in pain. 

"If you don't fufill my demands," Tockman started, "I'll kill Detective Hart in a heartbeat." Joe motioned for Emely to leave.
