After the movie was over, Barry began to talk.
A lot.
"Zombie movie scale, it was like a four tops." Iris looked at Barry.
"There's a zombie movie scale?" Barry nodded.
"Did you know that zombies exist in nature? There's this species of fungi that insects ants causing the ants to attack plants that can release spores, which in turn infect new hosts. I'm going full nerd again, aren't I?" Iris laughed.
"Yeah, it's okay though. You are still the cutest nerd that I know." Emely's heart hurt as she felt jealous that Barry's toward Iris instead of her.
"Anyways, I am a lot more interest interested in the amazing as of late." Barry looked at Iris.
"Because of the whole Streak thing?" Iris nodded.
"He's out there. People are talking." Barry shook his head.
"How do you know its a he? Maybe it's a she." Iris shook her head.
"Its a man, okay? You know I'm really intuative about this kind of stuff. Somebody posted a picture after being yanked from a car accident. Its a red blur leaving the scene. Here, what do you see?" Iris held up her phone and showed the pair.
"I see Eddie." Iris was confused and noticed Eddie was calling her.
"Oh, I should probably get this. I'm crashing at his place. He's supposed to leave the key for me." Iris turned to answer the call. "Hey babe, what's up? Not much. Just hanging out with Barry and Emely. You off yet?" She walked away, leaving Emely and Barry alone.
Barry's phone started to ring and Emely noticed it was Cisco.
"Hello." He was a silent.
"Public indecency?" Emely was confused.
"Dog leash violation?" Emely laughed.
Barry turned to Iris, who was still on the phone.
"You don't have a mat. Do you have a plant?"
Barry sped off, leaving Emely all alone. She took out her phone and called Joe.
"Did it go bad?" Emely sighed.
"Joe, it feels like I'm in high school and I'm the third wheel." She whispered, not wanting Iris to hear her.
"Man, I really hope Barry knows you like him soon. It's weird knowing that someone else likes him but he's too busy pining after Iris who's with Eddie." Emely rolled her eyes.
"Tell me about it. I should go. Barry left to go somewhere and he'll be back soon."
"Okay, and hey. It'll be okay." Emely smiled.
"Thanks, Joe. See you." Emely hung up just as Barry came back.
"Eddie says hi." Emely nodded.
"Nice of him. You wanna grab a bite? I feel famished." Barry rubbed his stomach for emphasis.
"After the Mongolian barbeque we had the movie and the extra large popcorn you had during the movie? How are you not fat?" Barry shrugged.
"I've been jogging." Iris seemed to believe him...somewhat.
