The following day, Barry and Emely were needed at the crime scene that happened just hours before. As Barry and Emely arrived, they both saw Joe. Nobody said anything for awhile until Joe broke the silence.

"So what you can do, it was the lightning bolt?" Barry was quiet for a few seconds.

"More or less." Joe felt guilty.

"I'm sorry, Barry. I'm sorry I didn't believe you. I called you crazy for chasing the impossible, but you really did see something that night your mom died."

Emely knew that story all too well. His mom died, he saw a man within the blur, people thought he was crazy, and his dad went to jail for something he didn't do. At least Barry still has a father.

"Your dad is innocent." Barry looked at Joe who moved in front of Barry

"I don't want you telling Iris about any of this. She doesn't need to know. I want her to be safe. Promise me that neither of you will tell Iris." Emely nodded.

"I promise. I don't really talk to Iris anyway. Barry's more clsoer to her than I am." Joe sensed a tension between the two young adults.

"What's going on between you two?" Emely looked at Joe with wide eyes.

"There's nothing going on between Barry and I." Barry nodded.

"And there never will be." Emely mumbled, which Joe heard.

Joe looked at Barry and realized that Emely knows about Barry's feelings for Iris. Joe then questioned why Barry kissed Emely in the first place. He shook his head and left the two alone.

"We need to go to jail." Emely looked at Barry

"Because of your dad?" Barry nodded

The two headed out to Iron Heights in silence, knowing that Barry might have a difficult time with all of this. Emely saw Mr. Allen sitting on the other side of a glass with only a phone there to talk.

"Hello, slugger. Who's this pretty young woman you brought with you?" Barry smiled slightly as Emely blushed.

"Dad, this is Emely Hart. Emely, this is my dad." Barry handed the phone to Emely who took it with a shaking hand.

"Hello, Mr. Allen. This may not be the way I would like to meet you, but I know you're innocent. After meeting Barry and learning what happened, I don't have any doubts on whether you did this, because I know you didn't." Mr. Allen smiled.

"It's nice to know that someone agrees with me. And please, Mr. Allen makes me feel old. Call me Henry." Emely smiled sadly at Henry.

"I got into a fight today." Barry held the phone between them.

"You just got out of a coma, though. I don't think it's safe for you to be picking fights." Emely's heart tore at the fact that even through these bars, Henry still gets concerned for Barry.

"Did you win?" Barry chuckled.

"Yeah." Emely could tell that Barry was trying his hardest not to break down.

"You didn't kill mom, you know that I know that, right?" Emely's eyes filled with tears as she witnessed this whole thing.

"You believing in me is all I need." And that's what made Emely snap.

"You won't be in here much longer. Whoever killed mom, whatever killed her, I think I finally have a way to stop them." Emely stood up and exited the room, leaving Barry and Henry alone.

Hearing Barry and Henry's talk made her think of her parents. She had no idea where they went, or where they are. Emely decided to ring Caitlin and ask if she had time to spare.

"Hello?" The young doctor was curious as to why Emely was calling her at this hour.

"Caitlin, it's Emely. I wanted to know if you were busy." Caitlin could hear something in Emely's voice

"Yeah, I'm free. Were you crying?" Emely sighed.

"Can you meet me at Jitters? I'll explain later." The young doctor agreed.

They said their goodbyes and Emely made her way to Jitters. When Emely arrived, she saw the young doctor waiting by a table with two cups of coffee.

"I thought you could use a cup." Emely smiled slightly at the gesture.

The pair started to walk around the city after they finished their coffees. Emely started talking about everything she had on her mind. The young doctor was silent as the short brunette explained everything. By the time she finished, they had gotten to Caitlin's apartment. Caitlin offered Emely some advice, which Emely appreciated.

"Do you wanna watch a movie?" Emely nodded

The two started to watch Divergent together. Emely fell asleep in the middle of the movie, leaving Caitlin with a problem. She decided to let the shorter girl sleep, seeing as she needed some. Caitlin placed a blanket over Emely, who was now lying on the couch. Caitlin went to her bedroom and got on the bed and curled up into a comfortable position before falling asleep.

As the two girl slept, a certain speedster was racing across the city looking for a short, blue eyed brunette. He went home, frustrated and worried. Barry didn't know where Emely went to after she had left him and his father alone. He raced to S.T.A.R Labs to find nobody there. He ran a hand through his hair before running again. He called Cisco who had suprisingly picked up. Cisco told Barry that Caitlin had said that she was going out with Emely to Jitters. Barry didn't let Cisco finish before started racing to Jitters. He raced to Caitlin's apartment, courtesy to Cisco telling Barry where she lived, and buzzed the door.

Barry fidgeted as he waited for someone to let him in. He buzzed again and waited some more.

Upstairs, Emely stirred as she heard a constant buzzing noise. She groaned and went to wake up Caitlin.

"Caitlin." She shook the young doctor awake

"What's wrong?" A loud buzzing sound interrupted them.

"That." The two girls sighed as Emely went back to sleep and Caitlin went to answer them.

"Who is it?" Caitlin yawned.

"Is Emely there?" Caitlin looked at the short girl who was already sleeping again.

"Barry, Emely and I are tired. Just let us sleep." And Caitlin went back to sleep again.

Barry huffed and raced back home. He changed into his pjs and got on his bed. He stared at the ceiling for awhile. He didn't like the fact that Emely wasn't there with him so they could cuddle. Part of Barry, the part that actually had feelings for Emely, missed her. Barry just doesn't admit that he likes Emely. Because according to him, he still has feelings for Iris, even though Iris is with Eddie.

Alas, these two young people will find their true feelings hidden deep within them sooner or later. But for right now, they still need to grow closer to each other as friends before they can move forward with their friendship.
