"A rare opportunity to go back in time and right a wrong and save your mother's life. Quite the paradox Harrison has presented you with, Mr. Allen."

"The chance to be with someone you love? Seems pretty cut and dry to me."

"At first blush, Dr. Snow, it would appear so, but this gift has an unparalleled risk. Barry, the night your mother died, the night you saved yourself from being killed, that altered the timeline you were already on, and changed the course of history."

"So what you're saying is that we're living in a parallel universe?" 

"Just like when I time traveled before."

"But he only changed on day that time." Professor Stein nodded

"Exactly. Now imagine 15 years of compounded experiences. One different decision, no matter how big or small, impacts everything that follows. Moments upon moments. Choices upon choices. New relationships." Barry glanced at Emely.

"Nothing would be as it is today, and you'd never remember any of it."

"So if I go back and save my mom, my dad doesn't go to prison. I never live with Joe and Iris."

"You might never meet me or Caitlin or Ronnie."

"You might never meet Emely." They looked at the blue eyed girl who was staring at the floor.

"Truth is, there is no way of really knowing what your life will be." Barry looked at Joe

"There's no choice here, Barry. You have to do this. You gotta change the past." Joe left and Barry went after him.

"You okay?" Caitlin glanced down at Emely who didn't respond. 

After talking with Joe, Barry went to visit his father and get his opinion with this. However, he didn't agree to this..

"At what cost? You've got a girlfriend who loves you. Do you want that to change? Do you want to change? Going back in time, Barry, will affect those around you. And it will affect you too. Are you willing to give up your life here, including your love, to rescue your mother?" 

Back at S.T.A.R Labs, Lily and Cisco were trying to get Emely to talk as Caitlin talked with Ronnie.

"Is it about Thawne?" Emely looked at Lily with a scowl on her face. 

"I guessed it. You hate him, don't you?" Emely continued to scowl. 

"Em, everyone hates him."

"Not as much as Barry and I do." Lily heard something in her voice that sounded like pure hatred. 

"You're right. Barry hates him with pure rage and hatred. The man killed his mother."

"He said he ruined my life too. I just don't know how yet." 

"Why don't take a walk? These past hours and days have been really tough."Emely sighed and stood up. 

She walked out and looked up at the darkened sky. She had forgotten all about Blake, who was probably in hiding. But will all of this going on, it seemed likely it was going to slip. She began walking and walking until she felt herself being carried and sped to the park. 

"Thanks for the warning." She sat on a bench and Barry sat next to her. 

"How are you?"

"I hate him, worried about you, worried because I just remembered Blake is still out there. Mostly, petrified that if you do save your mom, you might not meet me."

"I'll find you."

"Barry."

"I love you."

"And I love you." Barry crashed his lips onto hers and the two quickly got lost in their own little world.
