Dallon
"It wasn't up until now, that we realized Brendon truly likes Sarah. We honestly had no idea that you and him broke up, and that he would even think about hurting someone like that. I didn't find out about it until now and always just assumed he was more interested in her than you. I'm sorry he did that and I'm offering you my friendship." Tyler approached me at the cafeteria table that me and Patrick sit at everyday. "Plus, a good majority of us would much rather you sitting beside Brendon, than Sarah sitting beside Brendon. She's nice and all, but you were funnier and cooler. I'm still a little bit unsure why we were never friends before."
I cleared my throat, preparing to speak, "Who is 'us'?" I raised my eyebrow. He took his knee off of the bench seat attached to the table and pointed to his group of friends seated a few tables down.
"That..." He smiled. "Is 'us'."
"Brendon ain't there. Why?"
Tyler sighed, sitting down. "Because, Dallon. Can you just come sit with us?"
"Are you guys not friends with Brendon anymore?" His face went into shock.
"Dallon, no matter how much we all like you over Sarah, Josh is still Brendon's best friend and nothing can really change that. But Josh also thinks you're really cool too. As long as Brendon doesn't go ape shit on you sitting with us, you'll be fine. I doubt he would anyways. The real question is, would you?"
"I just don't have to talk to him. I'd actually much rather to sit there when he isn't."
Tyler took a minute to think about what I'd just said. "I guess that's okay too." He motioned for me to stand up and we walked over to the table.
For once, the more well known students in my grade, greeted me.
"Hey, Dallon!"
"What's up, Dal?"
"You're back!"
Those are just some of the things they said.
It's like a whole new world sitting here.
