Chapter Three

Calev went straightly to the dining area of his unit and August didn't hesitate on following him. Halata sa mukha ni Calev ang pagkapoot dahil sa napapasok niya si August sa lugar niya. Well, he have to deal with it. Andun na ito, nakapasok na naman ulit.

Sobrang naiinis na siya. Dapat ay pinabayaan nalang niya ito sa labas pero hindi siya ganun. At isa pa, August did something for him. Hindi pa siya nanananghalian kasi nakatulog siya at di na nag abala pang magluto at mag order sa ibaba.

He saw August comfortably took a seat in opposite sa pinaglagyan niya ng plastic bag. It was a good thing at di naisip nito na tumabi sa kanya dahil paaalisin din naman niya ito.

Calev wasn't the type of a person na low tempered. Nakocontrol niya ang sarili niya even on business but not with August. 

Nailalabas ni August kahat ng kinatatagong ugali niya. He won't hate August that much kung di lang ito sunod ng sunod sa kanya na nakakasakal na gayung wala namang namamagitan sa kanila and he made it clear to her that never would they have a romantic relationship.

She's a brat but he doesn't give a damn! Pero sumusobra na ito na halos sarili nito, ibibigay nito sa kanya kung hihingin niya. Now, he strongly dislikes whatever it was on August. Si August lang naman ang nagtutulak ng sarili nito para di ito magustuhan ni Calev.

He got untensils that only for him. After he would taste that 'food' paaalisin na niya ito whether she likes it or not the food.

He was not really expecting visitors palabas lang niya iyon para magkaroon naman ito ng hiya at ito na mismo ang umalis. But knowing the woman, of course, hindi ito papatimag. The idea na andito si August sa loob ng unit niya, hindi niya ito gusto. He won't give August the authority para basta basta nalang bumisita dito. At kung bakit ba kasi napapayag siya ng mga walanghiya niyang mga kaibigan na bigyang pahintulot ang babaeng nasa unit niya sa mga oras na'to.

Umupo si Calev at inilabas ang tupper ware sa bag. Binuksan niya ito and he got a spoonful of the food and directed it to his mouth.

He saw how August look at him expectantly, fingers intertwined with the other one. He chewed once then paused and he saw how tensed August was.

He chewed once again and that was when that grin on her face flew as fast than fly who was almost caught on hand. Munting nang maduwal si Calev sa lamesa kung di niya lang napagtakpan ang bibig at dumiretso na siya sa lababo. He felt like he tasted an expired food that was being heated again.

God, he was like being poisoned! The taste! That was the most dreadful food he ever tasted. Shit! Why did he let this woman na tikman ang pagkaing ginawa nito- if ever it could be called a food.

Inilabas niya lahat nang nakain sa sink and in a snap, August went over him, trembling. She ran her palm on Calev's back. Calev wanted to throw her away but he was feeling nauseous.

"Calev, are you okay? Ano bang mali? I followed all–"

"Dammit!" He shouted at her nang mahanap na niya ang boses niya and managed to snapped the woman's hand on his back na wala namang tulong. "You're asking me if I am okay? For Pete's sake! Are you blind? I am vomitting August and now you are asking me if am okay? The hell! Are you gonna kill me?"

He saw how her hands quivered and the terrifying look on her eyes as she moved closer to him.

"I'm sorry.. I-I didn't taste the food kasi ikaw yung g-gusto kong makatikim ng unang nagawa kong dish which was done without any complications except on this..on the t-taste.." She kept her stare on the floor after. She was ashamed and Calev knew it yet she gave him more reasons to not accept anything from an August Willinton.
