Chapter One

"Sigurado ka bang darating siya?" paulit ulit kong tanong kay Klark.

Kanina pa kami naghihintay dito sa loob ng club na pag-aari ng kuya nila Stephen. Ang sabi nila may lakad daw sila.

Nagkayayaanan daw silang pumunta sa bar with the whole team and Calev was into the idea.

Now, where is that Calev who's brother was the quote "Late comers are stupid?" He's half an hour late and I was starting to feel intimadated with my environment as well as losing patience. But then, I just have to remind myself that I'd be seeing Calev Montelles whom I haven't seen for a day, so I could stay where my foot stayed at the moment.

"How many times do we have to answer that very same question of yours since you got here August? He's on the way. Yun ang text niya. So please just stop asking? Enjoy the night for yourself, Gust. Darating din yun" Ellev, the one and only girl on the squad answered as she raised her brow on me.

"Eh kanina pa niya yan sinasabi na–"

"What is she doing here?"

I was cut in the mid sentence with a cold voice na nanggagaling sa likuran ko.

I knew it, kahit di ko pa siya tignan, I knew who it was. The man who was the definition of everything to me. I smiled secretly for the thought that he knew me so well that he could tell it was me even he have my back on his eyes only.

"Calev, she just wanted to go with us," Alexander explained and I was awakened by my thoughts at nakitang naka-upo na pala si Calev sa tabi ni Stephen.

I was smiling at him sweetly and he on the other part of the world doesn't have the guts to look at me the same way. He'd always be that read-me-if-you-can Calev.

"Yeah, that's right. She just wanted to join us and we couldn't see anything bad at that. What'd ya think bro?" Theo chimed in. Kanina ko pa siya napapansing nakaharap sa screen ng cellphone niya. Well, who I think it'd be? Of course, it's Julia, her 2-year girlfriend.

I was very acquainted by Calev's squad since we were at the last year of college. There we have Theo, Alexander, Stephen, Klark and Ellev. Only Stephen and Klark was the full blooded Filipino among them.

At first, they thought I was just one of those crazy-for-now on Calev who would basically forget all about him when we go on different paths after graduating but they got me wrong.

No way in the tiniest atom of a molecule would I forget him. I have planned a life for me and him in the very near future. He was all I could picture out na makakasama ko among all the men na nagpakita ng interes sa akin. Konting tiyaga lang, Calev would truly realize my worth.

"Yeah, not bad but worst."

He was being sarcastic. He went to get his glass and pour some drinks on it. He gulped the drink sa dalawang lagukan and I followed his Adam's apple as it made its way up and down.

Goodness! This man was a real beauty.

"Oh my God, hanggang ngayon ba ayaw mo pa din kay August? Look Calev, you've been stressing yourself on work. Di ba ngayon na ang time where you can have fun? Hello? Calev, you are twenty-six, both twenty six and both single. You know what I mean" Ellev gave out before showing us her grin.

It would not take a fool para di maintindihan ang ibig sabihin ng sinabi ni Ellev. It had really been a long time since nung inamin ko sa sarili ko na may nararamdaman ako kay Calev.
