I woke up a second time to the knocking at my door but this time it was 7:30 pm by my clock near my bed.

I got up and answered the door, to have Adam my brother standing at my door. It was a massive surprise because he rarely visits us anymore because he lives in Sydney with Angela his fiancé.

"Hey Laura dinners ready" Adam smiled as I pulled him into a hug

"Omg what the fuck?" I said still not believing he was standing in front of me

"Language Laura" Adam scolded

"Sorry" I said as we walked down the stairs and into the dining room, my face turned from being happy to being dead straight

"What the hell is he doing here?!" I snapped

"I heard Adam was in town and your mum invited me to dinner when she saw me at Coles" Luke said

"You shouldn't be here this is my family and you just let my mum invite you to my families dinner, especially when we are over Luke" I shot back

"Luke's staying Laura, that's final and if you don't like it you know where to go" mum said defending Luke

"Alright I'm going back to bed, cya when you realize that I'm your child Judith" I said flipping them off and walking off back upstairs to my bedroom, making sure to slam my door.

I put my iPod into the dock and started playing a Nirvana album turning it up as loud as I could

"LAURA TURN YOUR DAM MUSIC DOWN NOW" mum shouted from the other side of my door

"NO LEAVE ME ALONE" I shouted back, turning up the music even louder

I laid on my bed singing to nirvanas song 'lake of fire'. I realized I'd made a massive fool out of myself tonight, but in my defense it was because I hadn't seen my brother in months and I come down to see my ex Luke sitting at the dinner table, in my spot.

I received a text from Beau, Luke's older brother

Beau: wanna talk? x

Me: sure meet you at Maccas? Beau:Yeah I'll be there in about 10, cya soon :)

Beau was my best friend I'd known him longer than Luke because he used to be really good friends with Adam when the boys played football at Glenroy football club

"I'm going out" I mumbled walking downstairs

"Where?" Mum asked raising an eyebrow

"Out with Beau, if I caNt be in my own home without Luke always here then well I guess I'll go hangout with Beau and Jai" I said walking out the door and getting into my car.

It was good that I was now 17 and had my P's because it meant I could just go when I felt like it and feel better.

I got to maccas where Beau was already waiting for me, probably for a short while

"Hey Beau sorry for being late" I said as I sat down with him

"Hey Laura it's fine" Beau said

"I'm just sick of everything to do with Luke and my family it's just like my mum prefers him over me" I said

"Don't worry Laura, Luke is still in love with you. He's just as hurt as you are. Plus your family is strict, and Luke sucks up to your mum that's probably why she invited him to come over for dinner" Beau said, whilst I smiled

"I just wish I could tell him" I said looking down

"Don't worry tomorrow we will find out when we go to your appointment" beau replied

"You're still going to come?" I asked

"Yeah well you need some support and I want to know just as badly as you" beau responded as he held my hand over the table

It was true if I found out the news I was going to be told tomorrow I would probably fall into a pit of tears and nothing good would come out of it maybe besides a new ocean.

"Thanks" I said

We ate our burgers and fries, talking and enjoying ourselves before I went back home.

When I got home all the lights were off because it was after 11 so I walked into my room and shut the door before turning on my light and taking off my shirt

"Woah" a deep voice said from behind me

"What are you doing in my room?" I said quickly putting my shirt back on

"I needed to talk to you Laura" Luke said

"Well could you turn around while I get changed?" I asked trying not to snap

"I've already seen you naked before Laura" Luke said still turning around for me

"Yeah but that was different" I replied trying to be polite and changing into my pyjamas

"You can turn around now" I said as I watched Luke looking at my memory wall

Most of the photos were of Luke and me when we were happy

"Why are you here?" I asked as Luke finally turned around

"I wanted to say sorry" Luke said

"Well you've said sorry now If you don't mind could you please leave" I said

"But there's one more thing" Luke said

"What?" I said

"Beau mentioned something about you having an appointment tomorrow and I wanted to know what for because I still care about you" Luke said

Why did beau say something?

"It's nothing I've just been a bit tired and it doesn't help when you have teenage boys keeping you awake at night" I said lying

"Sorry and I'm staying here tonight" Luke said

"Well then sleep on the floor" I said because I just wanted to sleep

"Come on Laura" Luke said

"Whatever" I said as Luke hopped into my bed and I turned out the light before trying to sleep

"Night beautiful" Luke whispered as I fell asleep
