Road trip

It's been a four months since mum got home and everything feels different; mum's gotten calmer and relaxed, while Charlottes starting to show a bump. Luke and myself have spent everyday together, typical and Jai has been here at home helping Charlotte, mum

"Good morning beautiful" Luke said as he kissed my neck while we laid on his single bunk bed

"Good morning babe" I replied as I turned over and faced Luke

"What's the plan for today?" Luke asked

"Well Char, Jai and our mothers are going to look at baby furniture so I was thinking we could go on a road trip with Beau, James and Skip" I replied

"That's a nice idea I'll go ask Beau, you can call James and Skip" Luke stated

"Alright" I replied as I sat up and got my phone from Luke before dialing James' number;

"Yeah, hi Laura what's up?" James asked in a croaky morning voice as he answered the phone

"Well we were wondering if you'd like to come on a road trip for the day" I replied

"That's cool, I'm in, what time do I have to be ready?" James asked

"At about 9:30" I replied

"Okay cool thanks and cya then" James said as he hung up.

"One down one to go" I said to Luke as I dialed skips number

"Laura?" Skip said in a dopey tone

"Yeah Skip, I was wondering if you'd like to come for a road trip today?" I asked

"Sure what time do I have to be ready?" Skip asked

"At around quarter to ten" I replied

"Alright cya" Skip said cutting the line.

"They're both in what about Beau?" I asked as Luke hopped back into bed

"Yeah he's in, but where are we going?" Luke asked

"It's a surprise I'll tell Beau when we're in the car" I replied

"Okay, you'd better get home so you can get ready" Luke said

"I'll be back by 9:20" I said as I kissed Luke before making my way out of the house.

I got change quickly into leggings, one of Luke's jumpers and my ugg boots before doing my hair and makeup.

I then grabbed my scarf, beanie and handbag before walking down the cold streets.

"Just in time" Luke said as I walked up the driveway

"9:20 on the dot" I said as I glanced at my phone screen

"Is that mine?" Luke asked referring to his jumper I was wearing

"Maybe" I replied

"Looks good on you" Luke said as he hugged me

"Thanks and those ugg boots look good on you" I said as I looked down at the ground

"Thanks beautiful" Luke replied as he kissed me

"Come on love birds it's a friend car trip not lovey-dovey day" Beau said as he walked passed us, hopping into his silver commodore

"Yeah yeah" I said as Luke and myself hopped in the back of Beaus car before Beau reversed out the driveway and drove down the street

"So where are we going?" Beau asked

"Mt Buller, you know the place with all the snow?" I replied
