MRS. LIM (Lola ni Andrew)

"Lola, bakit mo naman ginawa 'yun?" Naiinis na tanong ng napakagwapo kong apo habang inaayos ang suot nitong suit.

I raised my eyebrow on his question sabay palo ng hawak kong pamaypay sa matigas niyang bungo. "And why not?" Asked I.

He was refering to the invitation letters that I sent to the Philippines for his wedding. I cannot just give him away to Cassandra and tell him to follow what makes him happy dahil nakasalalay dito ang kinabukasan ng magiging anak niya at apo ko. My heart aches everytime I see him sad. Nalulunod ang puso ko sa kalungkutan sa tuwing nakikita ko ang pagkabigo sa mga mata niya. My poor Kurt Andrew. You had grown up! You knew how to make choices and priorities despite the consequences. I am so proud of him.

I saw him smirked at nakasimangot na umupo sa couch katabi ni Butler Homer. We're here in one of the famous fashion houses in Korea which is actually owned by his in-laws. He was fitting his suit that he will be using for the wedding on Saturday. Everything had been settled. In fact, we just have to go over some small details nalang for the wedding kung tama ba sa gusto ng dalawang ikakasal. After this, we'll be heading to the restaurant which will be sponsoring the food and do the food tasting. Masyadong naging rush ang lahat. Isa pa, we cannot delay the wedding since the children still have to go back to their classes. Though I've already arranged it with the University Dean ay kailangan parin nilang humabol. I don't want to stress Pia. She's pregnant at makakasama 'yun sa kanya kaya ako na mismo ang umasikaso ng lahat ng ito.

"How's your suit Andrew? Okay na ba iyan hijo?" Tanong ko sa kanya when I'm done checking the suit for any damages.

"Yeah." Walang ganang sagot nito at bumalik sa fitting room upang magpalit.

Hawak ko siya sa kaliwang braso niya for support habang palabas ng boutique. While on our way out ay may nakasalubong kaming isang buntis. She was eating a green mango kaya napangiti na lamang ako then an idea popped into my head. Hmm...

"Apo, why not call Pia?" Said I na nakapagpakunot ng kanyang noo. Handsome as ever. He really got the looks of his father. Only if they were still alive. Haaay. "Ask her. Baka may gustong kainin. She's on her first trimester now. Naglilihi na 'yun." I added.

Lalong nagusot ang gwapong mukha ng pinakamamahal kong apo. He slowly removed my hand away from his arm and heaved a very deep sigh.

"Stop playing cupid lola. It will still be Cass." Wika niya at iniwan ako nang nakanganga.

Ayaw ba niya talaga kay Pia? That girl is so charming and cute. He should atleast try falling in love with his soon to be wife. Kawawang Pia. Seems like she will be stuck into a marriage without love.

"Are you fine Madamme?" Singit ni Homer at inalalayan ako pababa ng hagdan.

I turned to face him and tapped his arm. "Do you think there won't be any chance for them to fall in love?" Tanong ko sa kanya habang nakangiti.

Homer shrugged his shoulders and smiled. "One percent?" Natatawang sagot nito.

I laughed out loud with his answer. "One is still a chance. Maybe not now but someday." Confident na wika ko.

ANDREW'S POV:

Naiinis ako. Conscience and guilt is killing me. It's living in my system na unti-unti akong kinakain at pinapatay. Cass had been so good to me. She treated me right and never cheated on me sa kabila nang distansya naming dalawa sa isa't isa. She's loyal and honest at ako heto at pinagtaksilan siya. P*ta! I am not blaming anyone pero sa bawat araw na nalalapit ang kasal ay lalo akong nakokonsensya. Parang gusto ko na lamang tumakbo at magpakalayo.
