Kabanata 44

ANDREI'S POV:

"You were a little bit harsh, bro." Sabi ko kay Andrew while shooking my head left and right.

That was so mean. I've never seen Pia lost control yet. But awhile ago was really a blast. Sinigawan ba naman si Andrew? Woah! She's really something. Lumalabas din pala ang pagiging amazona niya kagaya ng kapatid niyang si Georgina kapag naubos ang pasensya. Haha. Hindi man lang nakareact si Drew when she left the room.

"Why? What did I do wrong?" Pagmamaang-maangan ng g*go. So you're playing innocent, huh?

Napailing na lamang si Red at nilamutak nito ang sariling mukha. Dagdagan ba naman ang kapangitan? Hahaha.

"Seriously Andrew? Why are you like that?" Red na nakahawak na sa sentido niya.

Kumunot naman ang noo ni Andrew as if Red has said something stup*d.

"What? I'm my usual self." Depensa niya sabay kibit ng balikat.

Red looked more frustrated and started massaging the bridge of his nose. He stared at me and motioned me to talk to Andrew instead. He must be very mad now.

Inakbayan ko si Andrew. He loosen his necktie and shove my arm away.

"Woah!" I surprisingly reacted and raised my both hands as if saying that I surrender. "Alam mo dude, Pia is too kind. She doesn't deserve it." Aniko.

He turned to face me with eyes full of fury. Kung nakamamatay lang ang tingin, I am sure as hell that I'm already dead here.

"Don't comment on this Drei. You know nothing." He said as a matter of fact. Assurance is marked upon his voice.

Padarag na tumayo si Red at hinarap si Drew. Among the four of us, Red has the greatest resistance and self control. He doesn't easily get affected, mad and frustrated. Maliban na lang kapag naaagrabyado ang mga taong malalapit sa kanya. And I must say, he had been so closed to Pia. Matagal niya na kasing pangarap ang magkaroon ng kapatid na babae. Not literally na close sila like bestfriends or what but I know somehow he had considered her as one of the most important.

"Then explain. Let us know." Hamon niya kay Andrew. Ang angas ng g*go. Haha.

Matagal na nagkatitigan ang dalawa bago tuluyang bumuntong hininga si Drew at bumalik sa kanyang pwesto. He placed his arms on his knees at pinagsiklop ang dalawang palad sa ilalim ng kanyang baba. Something's bothering him. Ilang buntong hininga ang pinakawalan niya bago tuluyang humarap sa amin ni Red.

"I heard lolo talking." Panimula niya. Nagkatinginan kami ni Red but we  remained silent to let him know that our ears are on him. "Everything was a plan." He continued.

What is he talking about? Is it the wedding? I don't understand. Bago paman ako makapagtanong ay naunahan na ako ni Red.

"What do you mean plan?" Aniya.

Andrew leaned his back on the sofa and heaved few more sighs bago sinagot ang tanong niya.

"The wedding, everything. F*ck!!" He cursed under his breath and stood up, facing the glass wall overlooking the university grounds.

Muli kaming nagkatinginan ni Red. I don't know what he is exactly talking about. It's confusing. How can it be a plan, if they got married because Pia was pregnant, right? I thought this was his decision? Paanong napasok ang kanyang lolo sa eksenang ito.

"You mean..." Hindi paman natatapos ni Red ang sasabihin, Andrew immediately butted in.

"Yes. The Paris seminar, meeting Pia, that incident where I got her pregnant were parts of the plan." He angrily exclaimed, still facing the wall. "I hated Pia since I discovered it. She might have known everything but she acted innocent." Said he and brushed his hair using his trembling hands.
