Kuya...

PIA'S POV:

I would be lying if I feel okay despite the fact that Kleigh didn't attend this party and seeing kuya Luke so frustrated with the sudden marriage between I and kuya Andrew. I maybe quiet and shy but I am not dense. Call me assuming but I know I'm special for kuya Luke. I lived for almost twenty years with boys around me. Kuya, Dad and Kleigh are the living evidences of what special treatment is.

The way kuya Luke stared at me kanina brought shiver all over my body. It's as if I made a big mistake and that I cheated. I like him too. Like not in a special way. He's an older for me. Though I couldn't remember a lot about my childhood years, I know he holds a special part of it. I've seen photos, videos and archives of me and him. But I thought Mom likes ate for him. Isa pa, they were closer back then. Hindi ko nga lang alam kung bakit parang naging stranger na ako sa paningin niya bago pa kami maging close ulit. After almost eleven or twelve years, I never really expected naman talaga that he would actually treat me the way we treated each other before. Time flies too fast and those memories just became a part of our memorable past.

"Pii, are you listening?" Asked ate while caressing my back.

Kanina pa pala ako nakatingin kay kuya Luke na lumabas na ng venue with an unpretty face. Kuya Red followed him with his hands inside his pocket.

I am carrying a heavy heart right now. I feel like I've caused sadness to everyone. Never did I ever foresee a future like this. If only I could turn back time.

Tumango na lamang ako kay ate and flashed my infamous smile. Ramdam ko kasi that she's bothered about me.

"You sure?" Tanong niya na puno ng pag-aalala ang boses.

I nodded ny head twice and faced the visitors again. They were really happy for the merger and of course for the upcoming wedding which is two days from now. I am not even excited. Mabuti pa sila. Mukhang pinaghahandaan na ang nalalapit na araw na iyon. Haaayy.

That night ended like a blur. Hindi na bumalik si kuya Luke and Kleigh didn't show up. The two most important men in my life weren't happy with my decision and it pains my heart.

Today is Friday and everyone seems so busy except me na nakatunganga lamang sa harap ng TV with Tanya sitting beside me.

"You look bored, Pii. Smile ka kaya."

Kanina pa paulit-ulit na suway sa akin ni Tanya who seems uncomfortable with the way I look. I am feeling useless. What does she expect? Wala man lang akong maitulong dahil ayaw nina mama't papa na mapagod ako. 'Yung lola't lolo ni kuya Andrew naman kulang na lang ay iglue ako sa kama buong araw sa sobrang OA nila. Sorry for the term but I feel so helpless in this state. Gusto kong magliwaliw.

"Sige ka. Papanget anak mo niyan."

Dagdag pa niya habang ngumunguya ng popcorn na animo'y nag-eenjoy sa ginagawa niya. Buf I just rolled my eyes at that thought. Is that even possible? Sa genes kaya nagmumula ang hitsura ng bata. Gagawa na nga lang ng panakot, yung hindi pa kapanipaniwala. Tsss.

We are watching Twilight Saga: Eclipse nina Edward Cullen at Bella. Nauumay na ako sa pagmumukha nilang dalawa. Imagine, since I wake up at seven until now ang movie series parin na iyan ang pinapanood namin.

"Pii, you know what...nagbago kana." Aniya na nagpalingon sakin.

Seriously?

"Palaging mainit ang ulo mo. Nakakainis ka na ha?" She added while pouting.
