Connie sat down onto the sofa returning with two drinks. "Do we have to do this today?" Jacob moaned placing his bottle down on the table leaning into Connie. "There's something else I'd much rather do with you..." "Really?" He grinned nearing her lips as he gently brushed them against hers.
Jacob kissed her, deepening it as he leaned even closer to her. Connie laced an arm around his neck allowing him to pull her closer before running a hand against his chest. Parting from his lips she kept her hand firmly to his chest. "No... We have to sort this today, it needs to be given to the venue by Thursday-" "And it's only Monday, come on babe." Connie caved into the kiss once again before regaining herself. "No!"
He dropped back to the sofa with a groan as she rolled her eyes picking up her phone and a notebook. Straddling his waist she sat across his stomach looking down at him. "So, is there any songs you wanted?" Jacob placed his hands to her thighs gently running his fingers up and down her legs. "There's one song that I've always imagined playing at my wedding-" "You sound like a girl who has had their wedding planned for years." "Do you want my help or not?"
Connie went quiet passing him her phone as he typed something in pressing play. A smile came to her lips as she nodded. "Agreed we'll have this... What about this song?" Something played slowly as Jacob shook his head. "Too morbid, it's a wedding not a funeral sweet cheeks-" "Alright if you've got something better by all means..." Jacob smirked as she pushed her tongue into her cheek.
Well, you done done me and you bet I felt it. I tried to be chill, but you're so hot that I melted. "No." "No?" "No." Jacob frowned looking up at her. "Why not?" "I just don't like it Jacob." He surrendered seeing how agitated she became. Connie sighed reaching for his hands. "It's something Sam used to play a lot-" "Okay lets bypass that song..." She smiled as he looked up at her with a new understanding stopping the song.
When I look into your eyes. It's like watching the night skies, or a beautiful sunrise. There's so much they hold. And just like them old stars, I see that you've come so far. To be right where you are, how old is your soul? I won't give up on us, even if the skies get rough. I'm giving you all my love, I'm still looking up.
Jacob watched as she smiled softly, looking at nothing in particular. His gentle touch caused her to look back down at him with a smile. "I like this one-" "Me too... Sums us up doesn't it? I'd have waited forever for you." Connie forced a smile as she looked to Jacob knowing he meant what he'd said completely. "I'll never give up on us sweet cheeks, I'm always going to want us."
Connie laced her hand through his pulling him up until her lips crashed onto his desperately. Jacob responded immediately wrapping his arms about her waist. Before things could go any further Jacob broke from her lips. "I thought we had to choose these songs." Connie bit her lip smiling with a nod as she pushed her hair back behind her ear.
Jacob took the phone as Connie sat upon his lap looking across at him. She admired him while he was distracted loving being able to just watch him. She began to understand his obsession with being able to do this unnoticed.
Hours went by as they messed around with different music. Connie had shifted from Jacob's lap to sit the other end of the sofa while Jacob disappeared upstairs. He'd said something about knowing the perfect song but needing to find it. Connie watched him re-enter the room with a CD that he placed into the radio straight away.
I gotta take a little time, a little time to think things over. I better read between the lines, in case I need it when I'm older. Jacob wandered across the room stopping before Connie as he took her hands pulling her to her feet. "What are you doing?" "Just come here..." He let his hands loosen on hers before they fell to her waist.
Connie naturally lifted her arms around his neck as he began swaying side to side with her. A small smile was on her lips as Jacob pulled her closer to him dancing slowly. "Just think we'll be doing the real thing soon..." "I can't actually believe we're really doing this."
Jacob laughed before putting some space between them lacing his fingers through her right hand. Holding it out he spun around with her singing along. "I wanna know what love is. I want you to show me. I wanna feel what love is. I know you can show me." Connie smiled running her hand up and down his back as they continued dancing.
She leant closer to him placing her lips to his gently once before continuing to dance with him. Connie was surprised at how well he could do this, they'd never really considered actually having to dance until now but it seemed there was no trouble with it. Neither stopped when the song finished, instead the next song just began playing.
So remember we were driving, driving in your car. Speed so fast felt like I was drunk, city lights lay out before us and your arm felt nice wrapped around my shoulder. And I had a feeling that I belonged, I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone...
Connie had her head resting against Jacob's chest as he had his arms wrapped around her waist. "Jacob?" "Hmm?" Things were quiet other than the music again. "I love you-" "I love you too sweet cheeks." She smiled lifting her head from his chest as he bent down to kiss her. His arms slipped down underneath her bum picking her up. She wrapped her legs around his waist with a laugh as he continued dancing side to side with her in his arms.
