Imagine showing up at the studio to surprise Rick for his birthday. He was sitting at the keyboard, lost in the tune he was playing and too distracted to notice Roger and the guys slip away to let you in.
"He's going to love this," Roger said as he gave you a big smile, "he's been talking about you non stop, he misses you so much."
You'd been out of town for the past few weeks and didn't think you'd be back in time for his birthday, but you managed to work it out. You gave Rog an excited smile as you quietly slipped into the room. Rick was still playing away at the keyboard, playing the loveliest tune with ease. You stopped right behind him to listen with an admiring smile, he was so talented. He began to slow the tune down to come to a stop.
"That was beautiful," you said in a soft voice.
Rick slowly turned around to see you, his eyes lighting up as a smile spread across his face.
"My God, you're amazing," he said as he stood up and pulled you into a hug.
"I know, I know," you said as you hugged him as tight as you could, "happy birthday, Rick."
He pulled back and cupped your face in his hands, his sweet eyes cherishing each detail of his face, making you blush in his gaze.
"This is officially the best birthday, thanks to you," he said as he leaned in to kiss you, still gently holding your face in his hands.
You smiled into the kiss, which was sweet and soft and giggled at the butterflies that still managed to swarm your stomach every time he kissed you.
"Alright, get a room," Roger teased as he reentered the studio.
You pulled away from Rick and the two of you smiled like idiots at each other.
"I love you," you mouthed.
"I love you more," he mouthed back with that cute little smile of his.
Happy birthday Rick, you talented little dude you. We all love you so, so much and we all definitely wish you were here💓
