"Darling, I've yet to see you smile all day," Pete said as he sat up and walked over to the couch you were sitting on.

He sat close to you and soothingly rubbed your back as his blue eyes studied your somber expression.

"Tell me," he said softly.

You sighed and looked down at your hands in your lap, "I just don't feel right," you stated.

His brow furrowed a bit, "How do you mean?"

You looked up at him and he silently awaited your response.

"I'm just," you started slowly, trying to pinpoint exactly what it was you felt, "tired."

He seemed a little relieved yet confused at the same time.

"Yes, that's it," you said again, "I feel like I have no energy in me whatsoever."

He sat up and your eyes followed him in a confused manner. He gave you a little smile and held out his hand.

"Come on then," he said before you took it.

"Where are we going?"

He was quiet as he led you up the stairs and to the bed. He laid down on it and pulled you down with him. You giggled as you toppled into his arms.

"Pete, what are you doing?" You laughed.

"You said you were tired, so it's time we take a proper nap. Together."

You felt your face heat up as you looked at his blue eyes, the little smile smile on his face and the rest of his features that made you so happy. He pressed his lips to your forehead and you closed your eyes with a sigh, feeling content now.

"I love you, Pete. I don't know what I'd do without you," you whispered as you snuggled up to his chest.

He wrapped his arms around you and held you close to him. A smile spread across his face as he held onto you, feeling more in love than ever.

"I love you too, darling."
